Okay I'm on my liquid diet and my Dr. only requires me to drink Protien shakes. Now the question is does it make you go to the alot?????? Cause I have been going alot since I started this on Wed. And I think I lost a few lbs. Is that possible???????

HI I DIDNT HAVE AN ALL LIQUID DIET SO I DONT KNOW ABOUT THAT BUT IT IS POSSIBLE FOR YOU TO DROP SOME DURING IT BECAUSE YOUR BODY IS BASICLY DETOXING ITS SELF

GOOD LUCK

Julie,

You probably didn't get many responses because honestly, most people on here struggle through constipation instead of diarhea so no one probably had answers for you. I have been battling diarhea myself but it has nothing to do with a liquid diet so even the measure I've been taking (and not really working) wouldn't apply to you for the most part. Besides the prescribed meds, they also have me eating once a day: banana, rice, and toast (they suggested applesauce too for the true BRAT diet, but I don't like mushed apples). Over-the counter, I'm taking Citrucel & Imodium. You may ask the sugeon's office if you can do either/both of these OTC's when you restart the liquid diet to help control the loose stools. Take comfort in knowing that it (and the liquid diet) is short-term..lol. Sherri

I agree. It's because your body is detoxing. It's also because you're on total liquids. It may taper off a bit. P.S. Good luck on your surgery. Hugs, Angie

Thank's Angie. Yeah I got a phone call from my dr's office and they told me to stop the diet because they decided that my surgery would be on the 11th of December instead of the 20th of this month. But that 's ok at least now I will know what is going on when I do it.
