Happy Thursday all

Good morning all!  It is snowing here in Albany.  But I dont mind because I love the snow.  Of course it isnt sticking.  I am working right now and am feeling better then yesterday. I thought I was starting the beginning of dehydration. I got 80 oz of fluid in yesterday so that must have helped. Going to do that again today.  Everyone have a good day and try to stay warm. Jenny

I love it...missed seeing it for so many years I get so excited now when it does snow. EWEEEEE!!!!! Can tell you two are newbies! Trust me, when you get further out, snow is the LAST thing you want to see! That, and the temp to drop! I will bet you that this time next year, you will see this change in weather completely different! Brrrrrrr!!!!! I remember when I enjoyed the cooler weather and thought snow was pretty. Almost 200 lb lost of insulation though and bring on the HEAT! LOL! I'm joking with you guys but at the rate you two are losing, I will bet you will share my sentiment long before spring arrives! But don't worry folks, I am still planning on having our 3rd annual HOT TUB party in February!!! I hope everyone was fortunate enough to start their day off good. I don't think it's snowing here in Indy, but since I don't have to go outside at all, not too concerned about the 35 degree temp either. Bill has a dentist appt this afternoon for a cleaning. Well, we were both suppose to but my hygenist had to cancel. Bill's mom will be bringing him. He's gonna have her go pick up some Wendy's chilli for us while he's getting his teeth cleaned since Wendy's is pretty close to the dentist office. I REALLY enjoy their chilli! I'd like to have one of their south-west salads (made with their chilli) but my digestion system isn't wanting to digest any raw veggies right now so lettuce is out for now. Why irritate it? I've been on a soup kick and a seafood kick lately. I don't feel cold so I have no idea why I want soup so much. Maybe I'm not getting in enough protein and that's why the seafood...? I wiped out all the packages of crab I had in the freezer and went through a bag of shrimp yesterday plus had stuffed shrimp for dinner last night (I still have 2 more bags in the freezer). It's funny how the body can crave certain things, isn't it? Yesterday, I drank liquids like crazy (~100 oz) but when I looked in the bowl this morning, the urine still is saying 'dehydrated'. I will be so glad when this diarhea stops!!!! I know. I sound like a broken record. I think I'm starting to get a little fed up with no feeling well. And I do apologize if I let any of that frustration spill over into my posts. I would just love to be able to get dressed (in my jeans and not sweats!), grab my keys, hop in my truck, and go get what I want from the store. Instead, I make a list and try to get it through to my daughter over the phone what exactly I'm wanting her to pick up for me. I am so lucky to have her and that she's willing to shop for me but it would be so much less frustrating for both of us for me to pick out my own fruit or read the nutritional labels myself! Ah well, another long post, unintentional. I'm sorry. You guys really are my link to the outside world. The visiting nurse doesn't come today. but Tiffany will be (because I need a few grocery things) and I'll get to hear the next chapter of Bill's mom's love-life (she and her new boyfriend are both 82 yrs old...it's a very sweet love story!) so it's not going to be a totally isolated day. I guess cabin fever is starting to settle in. You all have a good day today....k? Just think...tomorrow is Friday! Sherri

Sherri, I totally understandf the "COLD" issue....I do miss my insulation on these cold days but...i still love the snow! lol I get excited every time it snows! When we were in Vegas my friend and her husband took  me to the top of Mt. Charleston and I was so thrilled when we were half way up it started snowing! To think my first snow of the season was in Vegas!  lol I have been so busy getting ready for my fathers second knee surgery next week and the holidays I haven't had much time to post. I will be staying with my Mom next wee****il Dad gets home from the hospital. I am still doing great! My weight stays in an 8 pound range and fluctuates up to 4 pounds at a time. I think it is still from the swelling from my plastics and gettimg my self regulated. I am so happy at this size and never thought I would ever see it agian! God has been so wonderfukl to me with his blessings! It is so good to see you up and around Sherri! I have missed your posts. I hope the rest of you all have a most fantastic day! Now THAT is why I want to retire to Vegas! If I WANT to see snow, all I have to do is drive up into the mountains. If I don't, I can stay home. I think snow is pretty...in postcards & jigsaw puzzles. It's just way too cold for me outside my door though. The only day I would like to see it is Christmas. I can't imagine a 90 degree Christmas. See? I'd want to stay in a cabin somewhere in those mountains in Vegas from Christmas Eve to the day after Christmas. Then come home and put on my shorts and T-shirt. LOL! I had found out the other day that Bill had considered surprising me for our anniversary (11/24) with tickets to Vegas. He is so glad he decided not to do that this year. Me too. I'm hoping that this spring we can get away to there. I think we both need that after this past 7 weeks (and counting). In the meantime, I'm saving my pennies! Not for the trip...for the penny slots..lol! We didn't get to go to Vegas at all in 2007. I can't complain though, we did go to alot of other places this summer. Sherri

The board is SLOW today for me.  Oh well.  I agree the cold is NOT a good thing, I hope to acclimate to it over time. Got the gizzards last night and all the rest I need and am looking forward to bringing you the soup Saturday. God Bess you. E

Yayyyyy!!!!  It's Thursday!!!!

I almost worked a whole day yesterday.  I left about 45 minutes early.  I still get very tired in the afternoons.  Thankfully I work in a place that is very understanding.  My boss always puts us first.  What a blessing!

Sherri, please don't ever apologize for venting on us.  You are one of the best support people here and are so willing to share you experiences and knowledge with us.  We may not be able to offer advice to you in your cir****tances but we can lend an ear and a shoulder.  I don't think there's a person on this board who isn't covering you in prayer. I'm getting in more fluids as well...50-60 ozs.  I don't know how you guys get in 80 - 100!  That's amazing!!!  I'm sooooo full with the amounts I'm drinking.  There's just not room for more.  I've been adding sf popsicles.  They help some.

My daughter called a few minutes ago to say it was snowing in Danville.  Nothing sticking thankfully.  Tucked away in my cubicle with no view of the outdoors, I have no idea what is going on in Indy.   Jacqui, keep it warm down south.  My DH and I are going to be in Evansville this weekend.  I have ALWAYS detested the cold.  Given a choice, I'd be living in southern Arizona. I still weighed in at 158 today.  If I can hold that tomorrow too for 3 days in a row, I feel like I can claim it as "my weight".  Wish me luck. Y'all have a blessed day!

Happy Thursday to all this nice cold morning. It is so cold here in NW IN and I use to love the cold and now I am beginning to hate it. I am usually always cold now that I am just over 50 pounds lighter. DH just can't get over that one let me tell you. :)  I am going to Michigan City this afternoon with my best friend for last of the shopping for Thanksgiving. It is going to a wonderful afternoon. I am really looking forward to the holidays this year. Could be because of the fact that I have a wonderful new life and am enjoying this great new life of mine.
