Hey guys, I have not been on here in a while because I have been busy with school and my mom(she is not feeling very well). As many of you know I am a single mommy of two children ages 3 1/2 (will be 4 in Feb) and an 11 month old ( will be 1 on DECEMBER 5th-OMG). So, yeah, I am busy with them and school is going really good because I am getting all A's except for one but I am changing my major so I wont need the class-I am changing my major because of that class.  Anyways, I am worried about the holidays becasue I have the 2 kids and no way to buy them Christmas. Their dad and I are split up and he does what he can, but he can barely pay his bills. I have called places and looked around but the places I have called say I live too far south(beech grove). I guess that the world thinks you have to live in the ghetto to need help. Does anyone know of any places, organizations, businesses or anything that helps with Christmas. Usually I just call my mom or dad and ask for help but they are losing everything as we speak because my mom is sick(she is losing her house, job, vehicles and MIND-LITERALLY) so needless to say I dont want to stress them out anymore but they know this is one of my worries. Well if anyone can help email me at [email protected] or post back. I would really appreciate it. Pretty much I am just wondeirng if anyone knows organizations that helps with Christmas.... I typed that kinda late so I sound kind of rude... Thank you guys though...

Megan,  I know the Salvation Army gave me 25 dollars one time for christmas for my kids, and you can also call some of the organization where you live, because I know toys for tots could help.  I recvied help a couple of times for my kids,  from a christmas donation thing in the community  here in town.  Most the time the item are like new, kids don't know they are used.  Lisa

The Salvation Army on Shelby ST is accepting appls for assistanace on Tuesdays &  Thursdays , it started last week having friends still volunteering there I did for awhile. Just bring ID and SS cards and I believe brith certicates. The time is from 5 - 7pm, I think  sign up is only for three weeks. I'll call a friend to be sure. Its right before you get to Froutain Square. Hope this helps. Blessings, Gail
