Happy Hump Day

Lord, keep me in your will so I won't be in your way.

Good morning all. I know it's only been cold a short while, but I am ready for summer again, or at least warmer spring weather. I don't like being cold.
I'm going with the ladies group from church for a retreat Friday night followed by shopping at the Edinburgh Outlet Saturday afternoon. My DIL and her friend are going too. I am looking forward to it. So tomorrow will be my Friday at work. Yipee!!! Plus Monday is a holiday, therefore, I have a 4 day weekend. That's the good thing about this time of year, all the long holiday weekends between now and February. I add my congratulations to the losers and those who have obtained approval. You are all an awesome group of people. I am especially happy to see Sherri on again.
May God bless everyone with a good day.

Good morning everyone!
It feels so good to only wake up once during the night! Two months ago, I would had thought that was once too many times but after the past month? I feel like I slept like a baby! I had a very busy day yesterday so I was wiped out. I had my doc appt (other than a script for coumadin, a B12 shot, and labs pulled to be sure my blood is handling the diarhea, not much good there), went for breakfast at Papa's Restaurant (might not seem like much, but my first 'eating out' since I've been out of the hospital), then the visiting nurse came to change the bandage & take a blood sample for the coumadin dosaging, then Tiff & I went to Kroger (thank God for their electric scooters!), then home to make a huge pot of veggie beef soup (Tiff did most of the work, I supervised). Considering my day usually consists of just the visiting nurse, very busy indeed! Today is going to be the 'usual' so it'll give my body a chance to recoup...before tomorrow's adventure of going to see Dr. Gupta.
Janene...I hope you were able to get some more sleep girl...or do you normally get up at 4? When I am working, I get up at 4 so I can get to work earlier...and leave earlier. Glad to see that your pc is behaving now!
LaChelle...Congrats on your approval. It took me a few years to get approved as well. I had went through 2.5 yr of physician supervised training, fought with MPlan even through the appeal process, after failing to get approved with MPlan, switched to Anthem, and wa-la! I had many, many complications post-op (no surprise there, huh?) but I will always say that my RNY was worth them! Don't discount the 23 lb YOU lost on your own though. That is just as big of an accomplishment because girl, YOU did that on your own and that is something to be very proud of! Jules...Thank you. It feels so good to be back. Back home with my family. Back online with my OH family. I do hope those who are recent post-ops are doing well..or at least better. I'm sorry that I didn't stop in on the bariatric wing yesterday and I doubt if I do tomorrow. I wish Lyndia and everyone else the best..but I don't think physically, it would be good on me right now. My congrats goes to those who have recently been approved. It's definately a journey. Go into it knowing though that every journey in life isn't always smooth. Go into it with a positive attitude and you'll do fine! Newbies...sip! Get your protein in. Get your water in. Get your walking in. Do as your surgeons told you and you'll do great! Oldies...I hope today brings you another pound closer to goal! Isn't it a terrific tool?? You all have a terrific day! Sherri

Hey y'all! Today is a good day! Atleast thats the attitude that I'm gonna have about it no matter what happens! I got most of my cleaning done now over the past week and I'm probally going to take a nap in a little while because I'm just exhausted and tired, but I'm happy. The scale is moving great again and I even managed to lose 10 lbs while on the steroids! That in itself is a miracle. I am 3 lbs away from weighing less than my husband which is a HUGE goal of mine. I'm soo excited. I'm finally at the point where I can say that I AM GLAD I have this tool. Even when I don't feel good or something I know now that things are getting better and looking up! :)
Hello everyone. Another day at work......having refried beans w/ cheese for lunch. Wouldn't have caught me eating those before surgery, but now I love them. Linda....I have the problem of stalling right before each cycle, and then once it's over I drop down again. Sherri...glad you are doing better. One day at a time.... Congrats to all those that have approvals. Hang on tight....it's a great ride! Tina
