Creamed soup question
I got a can of Cream of Broccoli soup and I blended it up because of the chunks of broccoli. Then I added a can of milk. After doing this it is just like soupy milky mixture with hardly any lumps of any kind in it. Would you guys consider this a fluid and I could have as much of it as I wanted or a food that I can only have 2 oz of? I ate 2 oz of it as my lunch yesterday and it just didnt seem like food to me. It seemed like I was sipping milk out of the spoon. What do you guys think? Jenny
Creamed soups are considered meals, not liquids. Be sure to check on the back of the can to ensure that you are to add milk to it...and if you do, add skim milk. What I did was dump 1 oz of creamed soup onto an ounce of mashed potatoes so that it was like a gravy. Very yummy that way. I also went to a restaurant supply store and bought 1 oz and 2 oz cups & lids so that when I fixed my soup or potatoes (or anything else) I could divide it up and then at meal time, just take out what I wanted.
