Fort Wayne surgeons?

I am still trying to make up my mind between lap band and RNY, but one of the main considerations for a lap band for me is if there is someone local doing fills.  I can't drive to Indy on any kind of regular basis.   I know y'all are the experts ... is anyone in town doing this yet?  thanks!

As far as I know, there is only one surgeon in Fort Wayne.  His name is Dale Sloan.  You can get information by contacting the Weight Management Center at Lutheran Hospital 260-435-7844. They have informational meetings every couple of weeks.

BethR311 ~ I am somewhat familiar with the Fort Wayne area and I think the only bariatric center in FW is the Lutheran Health Network Bariatric Center: http://www.lhnbariatrics.com/. They do the lap roux-en-y and the lap-band. Check out their site. I just did, but I don't see how long they have been around. Not to get on a soapbox for St. Vincent, but they are a Bariatric Center of Excellence and I would prefer to have the procedure done where they have proven they are one of the best. This is just my two cents on the topic, though! Hope this helps a little. -Launa

I had Dr. Sloan and he was wonderful.  I have not had any problems.  I do know they are more strict then they are down at St. V's but I have a great results and would go with Sloan again in a heart beat
