Ladies...what kind of skin care are you doing???

I have been doing a skin care line since my surgery.  Trying to take better care of myself both inside and out.  Eating better, exercise and good skin care.  I noticed Annette saying she had some botox at the dr the other day.  Has anyone else had this done???

What lines are u doing and what products do u swear by???  Do u do a weekly peel or a scrub...do u get pedi mani's and how often???  Do u get massages???

I just use a moisturizer daily. It's a 'dual-action' one, for clearing skin and moisturizing. Cause, yes, I still get zits, at 31! Ugh! 

Since I am still pre-op, I don't have any wrinkles!!!  I don't wear makeup, so I only use Ivory Soap and water to clean my face.  I don't ever get pimples or breakouts, and I really believe that is due to no makeup.  I just have never worn it, and it has never bothered me.  I have rosey enough cheeks that I won't ever need blush, and that is a blessing!!!  I stop to think of all the money I have saved in 20 years, and I just smile! People often asked me if it was due to religious reasons, and my answer was always no..............my reason for not wearing makeup was my older sister!!!  It would take her almost 1 1/2 hours to put her "face" on, and I swore that I would NEVER do something like that! LOL Have a wonderful day! Smile!

I use philosophy products.  I get them from qvc and sephora.  If  you want to sample these before buying, you can go to sephora store and they a willing to give samples.  I go to the bigger store at keystone at the crossing, they are easier to get help i think then the sephoras that just opened at he jc penneys at the malls.  I use the scrub  serum and hope in a jar for moisturizer.  Everyone says I dont look my age, even after losing 120 lbs.  I would love to go with you.  They have kits that are way cheaper than buying individually. go to sephora.com .  i think I am going to buy the make-up optional kit again....DEB

Marianne,  I ordered that flat abs by Yves Rocher after u talked about that last yr.  Im on my second bottle.  I dont know how horrible my belly would be if I hadnt been using it right after surgery. 

I love bath and body works too.  They have such great smelling stuff there.  My husband even loves to go in there and use the sugars at the sink and scrub his hands.  We keep lots of scrubs at home for him too....being a mechanic his hands always need scrubbin' to say the least....lol

I go about every other month for pedi's.  I just love them even in the winter...Like you I also get my hair trimmed about every 6 weeks to keep away all those split ends.  My fav at BBW is the candy cane line right now.  My goddaughter got it for me for Christmas last yr.  Ive been using the scrub and lotion ...yummy when Im at the house in Richmond and the gingerbread when Im in Knightstown.  Also,  Ive heard some great things about that Anew lately on some beauty boards online.

 

I use Dr Denese skin care and Serious skin care.  I use them both....in the winter I use the olive oil line of serous skin care to keep my skin soft and the glycolic in the summer.  I have the serums, creams and potions...

Make-up I use Bare Essentials and Mally and some Smashbox.  However my favorite lip stains are Covergirl longlasting.  U just cant beat them for staying on and not transfering on your glass when u are drinking..nothing worse than lipstick stains on your glass. 

 

I am on the look for a new fragrance to be my signiture.  I need a new one for the new me.  Anyone have any suggestions???

 

Lachelle,  I saved alot of money on skin care and make up the last 10 yrs when I wasnt taking care of myself.   However Ive been making up for it this past yr.  Im a total make up skin care junkie now.  I traded my food addiction for this one.  Do u think they have an AA somewhere for this???  Ive just find it helps me get thru the down/ depressing days if I can focus on feeling better about myself.  I also never worried about the wrinkles when I was overweight but after loosing 190 lbs...I worry alot now....lol

 

Linda,  That being said, I can totaly relate to how u are feeling.  I go thru that often.  I think u are on the right track by getting the counseling.  I cant wait to start mine.  I never thought I would do something like that but goes to show u can never say never.  I hope u are feeling better soon.  Spend a little time just taking care of yourself.  Take a bubble bath...and relax for 30 min or so...even 10 will help clear your mind.  Take care

Morning Gorgeous Pam! I swear by Oil of Olay nightime firming cream! I wear it every night on my face and throat and for 51 it really gives me great skin. :o) I totally pamper my skin from head to toe! I love the olay wet cleansing cloths for the 7 signs of aging to remove my makeup every night. I have been wearing Tru Minerals makup and LOVE it! I had seen it televised alot and finally tried it after my plastics...what an awesome makeup. Light and natural and so fresh on your skin. I just started up again using my firming creams and lotions from Yves Rocher. They have an abs firming cream that really helps firm...I was using it before my plastics and actually stopped as I was afraid it was going to firm me up enough that I might not qualify for insurance for my panni!! It really helps alot! I started it again and also use the defining serum on my thighs and upper arms. It is from their  spa series and they have alot of great deals on their web site. I adore pedicures and try to get at least one monthy. There is nothing more wonderful than feeling like your feet are soft, smooth and pretty. I have a large variety of shower gels and lotions I use from Victoria Secrets and Bath and Body Works. I love feeling soft skinned and smelling wonderful. I am truly a Girlie Girl! LOL Now that I have my new body I am more determined than ever to really take care of it inside and out! I truly beleive the most important beauty requirements for any woman is to have her own special shade of lipstick that makes her feel beautiful and her own signature scent that people will drool over in the elevators! :o) you all have a SCENT~SATIONAL Day! I have used Mary Kay Basic Skin Care for years!  I love it!  I do the Mary Kay clay mask once or twice a week.  I do the Mary Kay Satin Lips every couple days.  Mary Kay eye shadow, blush, and loose powder.  have been using Avon Anew on my eyes lately.  Avon lipstick.  Great Lash mascara.  Revlon ColorStay eye liner. I get my hair cut every 4-6 weeks and highlights every 10-12 weeks.  I always use salon shampoo and conditioner.  Usually Bioloage for color-treated hair.  I use Pantene texture hairspray. In the summer, I get a mani/pedi about every 3 weeks.   I love Bath and Body Works Shower Gels and Lotions--White Tea and Ginger is my FAVE.  Since that one is soon to be discontinued, I have been liking the Cherry Blossom.   Stella McCartney perfume.  Sometimes Eternity--sometimes Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue.

You are so right about that E!!!  My husband didnt either till he saw the credit card bills from all the package that came to the door.  He also has been taking more and more showers with me....I think its more for the great products than me scrubbing his back....???
