Well it looks like it's going to be at least another 6 mths. before I can get insurance paper work sent in. I have to be smoke free and on a Dr. supervised weight lose program for 6 mths  for Medicaid to even consider approval. If I could afford to pay out of pocket for what Medicare won't cover I'd be fine. So now I feel like just giving up.

I know that this doesn't sound fun but keep your head up!! Don't give up!! Being smoke free  will help you heal quicker not to mention lessen your chances of ulcers and other complications. I know it seems like 6 months is a long time but it's nothing compared to the years you will add to your life by getting healthier!!! Keep your head up !

Sweetie, the rules used to be 18 months supervised... 6 months will go by quickly when you are seeing the Supervised weight loss dr and staying active here. Honest... It will go quicker than you think!!  So much to do to get ready and so little time to do it.

Don't be discouraged.  It took me almost two years to get approval.  Six months will fly by before you know it.  And with not smoking look at the money you will have to spend on new clothes! Julie
