Home from my scope :)

I've been home since bout 12:30 but haven't been able to wake up hardly! I'm still very tired but I just wanted to let y'all know I got my scope done. They ended up dialating me to 20 (from a 9/10) so I haev a little bit bigger opening then normal and we'll see if this will help get things in and keep them in. I have eaten a little bit of egg salad so far (which is pretty soft) and did okay with it! I have been so out of it I'm really trying to push fluids because I'm not doing soo hot with them today but the good thing is the gurgling and pain feels like it's better for the most part. :) She didn't see an ulcer but I've been on Carafate and have been told to continue taking it twice a day. I'm gonna get though and try to push my fluids like crazy to atleast get them in.

hi there what do they do when they do a scope? the reason im asking im going in nov 8 for 1 just curious all they do? and are u awake? do they do them in office or what? please let me no thx

You go into St V's and they start an IV and give you some medication to sedate you and the next thing ya know your all done. :) Don't remember a thing or most of what has happened til 6:30 this evening LOL

Glad to hear you're feeling better.  I had a scope when I was 4 weeks out.  I also don't remember anything until later that afternoon.  Hope this one does the trick for you. Tina
