Boy, weekends sure are too short.  I am in all day meetings the rest of today, and all day tomorrow.  Hope I can stay awake. Sure was cold outside this morning.  I am glad I found a couple of sweaters at the exchange Saturday.  I already can't wait for spring and the warm up. Have a great day, everyone. Tina

Tina you are cracking me up already this morning...Its not even winter yet and u are wanting spring.  Girl u better get to goodwill and stock up on Sweaters or its gonna be a really long winter for you.....

I hope u keep warm.  Last yr I would keep my heating pad at the foot of the bed on low.  it kept my feet warm and the bed.  worked out great since we didnt have a heated blanket.

This yr Im hoping the new house with new windows wont have so many drafts as my old house did.

I sure dont have the body insulation any more to keep me warm...so far this fall just been using hubbys body heat...  Hes the best heating pad I have.

Mariah, Don't tell anyone, but I have an electric throw that I keep at my desk at work.  It is just too cold for me.  What a change. One of the things on my Christmas list is an electric mattres cover w/ dual control, so I don't blast out my hubby from the heat.

Jacqui..I can SO relate to your wondering about the day of the week! Because of being in the coma for 9 days though, I think the date has been the hardest thing for me to get through to my brain. I thought I read where you are on liquid Loratab. Good stuff....but it gives me insomia. If your pain level is low enough, try cutting back on it and see if that doesn't help in the sleep department. I take vicodin now so I don't have that problem. Good morning everyone... I've already had the wound-vac change done today. She was talking about graduating me to just a 'dressing' soon. Know what that means? It's close to where Dr. Gupta can sew me up! Yeah! Oh...my doctor here has requested that Dr. Gupta come and see me today because of the diarea. He's tried me on two different meds. He's at the point of thinking that I'm dumping. I personally don't think that's it. Other than the diarea, I'm not having any other dumping type of symptoms. It's more like mal-absorbption. Which...I don't know what all they had to do to my intestines so who knows??? I think Dr. Gupta will be able to shed some light on what is going on. Other than that, we are waiting for the coumidin to kick in gear so I won't go home with lovenox too. After 3 weeks of 2 shots a day in the belly....with my belly opened up...I'm ready to get off of those too! LOL! I think it took 7-10 days for the coumidin to start working when Bill was on in and today is day 6 on it so hopefully, it will kick in soon. They check my blood every night to see if it's ok yet. Anyway, I am really hoping to be home by the end of the week! Hey...this morning, I washed my hair in my sink & shaved my legs (below the knees anyway)! OK...may not seem like alot to most of you but it was a milestone for me! I'm hoping to get physical therapy to write it in my chart today that I can walk by myself! I am ready to start putting in some laps! LOL! Yep, I'm feeling better. I hope you all have a good day. Keep your chin up no matter what you are going through.
