Home after my mission trip

I am home after my service at Pendelton Correctional Industrial Facility during a Kairos weekend I will be brief and say 42 offenders came away touched by God and a new understanding that He loves the unlovable.  I could type for hours and tell stories that seem to good to be real about the weekend. When you see me at clothing exchanges or dinner gatherings I will gladly let you know the stories so ask me. Those who have made cookies for a Kairos weekend I can not stress how you blessed the people *****ceived them are.  I will share one testimony from an offender about cookies.  The offenders get all the cookies they want to eat during the time they are in the meetings.  We were bless with people cooking over 3000 dozen cookies for this weekend. They are also allowed 6 cookies to take back to there cell each night.  Saturday night after a day of dealing with forgiveness talks and how God freely forgives us the offenders were challanged to take the 6 cookies and "Not eat them, but give them to the person they hated the most"  The offender told the group that he went to his cell and that he has hated his "bunkie" roommate since the day they were placed together.  He gave his cookies to his bunkie,  the bunkie said thank you. He said "Don't Thank Me: THANK GOD!"  What a change praise the Lord. If you are asked to make cookies please do.  Follow the reciepe and pray over the ingredients and the process of mixing and baking them. If there is a message that was left the last 4 days that you expected me to answer please know I may not get a chance to read it.  I tried to read the messages and did do a short answer  to a couple but my heart and mind is still engaged with the blessing our God bestowed on both the offenders and workers. God Bless. E PS I go for my 6 month Tuesday and I weighed myself this morning 203 LBS.  I am going to try and get those pesky 3 lbs off so I can be in the 100's.

Praise the Lord to your answer to His call and the willingness to share God with the prisoners.  It is so amazing the results God can do in lives no matter what we have done in the past.  I hope to hear more from you later.

Congrats on the weight loss.  You will make that 100 mark real soon. It is a great feeling.  I have my two year check up coming up and just got my complete blood work up back and everthing but trigly (sp) and well within the normal range.
