It's Saturday!

Happy Saturday to you all! I was all dressed and ready to go walking, and got outside and found it was drizzling. Doh. So I came back inside, and started getting my clothes together for later today at the exchange. I do have some 14 slacks and xl tops. Yesterday was a fun day, went out to dinner with my sister-in-law and her boyfriend. That was nice to get to know him better. I think this one's sticking around. They've moved in together.  I finally got out of my plateau! I was messing around, up and down, with the same two pounds for like a month, but I have lost 3 pounds this week. Woohoo! I am feeling excited about the future. I scheduled an appointment with the plastic surgeon for early in January. They had sooner appointments, but I wanted to wait until after the first of the year. I know I've made that consultation appointment before, and chickened out, but I'm really going to do it this time. The flappy skin in certain areas is just driving me nuts. And I have to admit, I would like to perk up the 'girls'. It's going to be with Dr. Bergman/Grassee's office, but I don't remember which one I got the appointment with. Either is fine with me.

Morning Ladies and Gents,

I wonder how much rain we will get today?  I hope it slows down long enough for me to carry all the food and bags of clothing into the exchange.

I was wondering if anyone knows if the church kids will be there this time...???

Well Ive been up all night.  I wanted to take a small nap before the exchange and shopping but havent been able to.  Well I better start getting ready.  I have the car all loaded with the clothes but I have to get ready and have to get the soup all heated up and in something so it wont spill all over Andys SUV.  Im using it today instead of my car.....  It should be easier to get the things in and out.

Im so looking forward to seeing so many of you that I havent seen in some time and then meeting the newbees.  Thats always fun too.

I sure hope Gail makes it!!!

It is way to early to be up!  It is 6:45 am, and I am already up, but I don't have to go to wor****il 1 pm!!!  Grrr I guess my internal alarm clock Alarm Clockwent off, and that is why I am already up for the day. Alarm Clock  Oh well. Next weekend is the time to change your clocks, so I will really be messed up! LOL Hope everyone has a great weekend. Tomorrow is the Great Strides walk that I am going to participate in.  Runner I am really excited about it.  It is for a great cause also, and it is a short walk. What better reason to get back into the walking mode. I have really slacked off, and I need to get my  Moony 2  in gear and just do it! Hope you all have fun at the clothing exchange. Bikini  Tee Shirt 6  High Heels  Skirt 2  Dress  I wish I could attend. Maybe the next gathering you all have, I will be able to go to. If I have enough notice, I should be able to take it off. I know I had enough notice for this event, but there was no possible way my boss could let me have today off. Pouty  Oh well, have fun anyway.
At Goal! 165 pounds gone forever! Thank you Lord!

Good morning everyone!

I had a pretty good night last night...not alot of sleep, but I feel good this morning. I've had two main problems since being 'woken' up, gas and diarea. They started me on Gas X about 4-5 days ago and just started me on meds for the diarea yesterday. It was SO nice last night to get the gas off my belly without fear of having an accident. I was able to walk some with the tech last night so that was good too. Other than for my wound-change, it's been 3 days since I've needed anything for pain (not even a vicodin!). Linda...Dr. Bergman was my surgeon (and remember, none of my problems were a direct result of anything she did). Dr. Grassee was on call the weekend I was in with pnumonia. I really like both. I WOULD suggest to anyone having plastics though to ask about blood clot prevention. My surgery was ~7 hr. That is a VERY long surgery and the longer it is, the more likely it is for blood clots to develop. Better to have lovenox for a week than have it for 4 weeks plus coumidin for a year or two. I hope you all enjoy the clothing exchange. I am going to be thinking about you all this afternoon! Could someone keep their eye open for size 8 jeans and for size medium elastic waisted pants? I think by the time all the swelling is gone, I'll be in an 8. Right now though, with the swelling and wound-vac, it takes the medium elastic waisted. Ellen..if there are any of them, could you bring them with you if/when you stop by? They want me to try to wear 'my clothes' here so that I'm gaining the coordination it takes to deal with things like panties, pants, shirts. I just don't own much in elastic...lol. I did wear my Tinkerbell PJ's yesterday. lol. Oh...we weighed me last night. Granted, with my robe, etc on and wrong time of day, but it was 166...9 pounds less than the morning of my plastics! Woo-hoo! I can't wait to see the posts about the clothing exchange. You all have fun, be safe in your travels. Other than seeing my grandkids on Halloween, this is the one activity that I am so disappointed in not being able to do. Dawn, thank you so much for being willing to put yourself out there and coordinate the exchanges. I think it's terrific of you! Miss you! Sherri

good morning all, Hope everybody has fun at the clothing exchange today.  I wanted to come and had just about all my clothes gone through that I cant fit in, which left me with one pair of jeans that really fit, lol.  I have lost 53 lbs so far.  I just have felt really blah the last few days so I just really dont feel like doing all that driving.  It really would of been nice to meet all you guys.  I thought maybe I could sleep in this morning but my hubby came home just for over night, hes been gone a couple of weeks for the guards and was heading back for another week this morning so of course he isn't quite enough to not wake me up this morning and then I couldn't go back to sleep, not to mention the dogs thought it was time to get up too.  Well have a good day all

Ulisha,

It would have been so great to have met you.  Plus u could have gotten plenty of jeans to hold u over the next few sizes.  There are always so many clothes that need a good home.  Maybe u will get to feeling better and change your mind or u could bring a friend with u and have her drive....lol

Have fun at the exchange y'all :) Maybe next time I'll be able to make it. Right now funds are low (I had to get 120 dollars worth of prescriptions this week) so even tho we were going to try it just wasn't feasible especially since we're driving to Carmel on Tuesday.  It's finally quit raining here! My mom and I went to the womens health fair this morning too and it was kind of scary lol. My BP is a little high (but I'm on 60 mg of prednisone) and my bone density test came back that I was at risk for developing osteoparosis, which isn't no shock because of the constant steroid use and all that but it's scarey that at 25 my results were worse then my moms. Oh well, I'm going to see if I can increase my calcium again maybe add an extra chewable or something.  Well I'm going to head to the laundry mat FUN stuff :) Have a blessed day.
