Good very early morning my friends.  I'm at work...that's why I'm posting so early.  Actually got a chance to sit down and rest, and here I am.   I had my nutrition class and found it very informative.  Plus I got lots of fun stuff to take home.  I just wondered what kind of pre op testing they do, can somebody tell me.  I know about the blood work, and that's no problem, I just wondered about the rest and what's involved.  Am I gonna have to drink some nasty stuff for anything?  I know I have to get a chest xray, just wondered about all the rest. Well, I hope everyone has a great day today!

Good Morning Hoosiers, Im at work as well.  The first half was very busy, however, the second half I went to walmart and played online and watched tv. Not much new going on here.  I dont know if any of u ladies are makeup addicts or online shopping freaks like I am but if u are I have some specials u might want to look into....here they are: Sephora ... FREE SHIPPING on all orders of $25 or more. Enter code: FREESHIP25  and next month they are having a friends and family sale and the code is ff2008 but Im not sure the exact date of this sale....around Thanksgiving Sac's... With Saks, this is the second F&F(friends and family) this year - By the way, this one is actually Oct 25-27th This time it is 15%, at least for cosmetics/beauty items ... But I know you can call the store and order shipment over the phone, just say you are purchasing under the "F&F event" without giving a code (I have done that before, since you are speaking with a person, and not having to enter it online.) Also, each counter is giving special GWP's for qualifying minimum purchase, and then other bonuses too. Just call and ask! QVC's Bare Escentuals TSV for in Nov can now be pre-ordered ...I already got mine and have been wearing it for a week and just love it...the number to order it is:  Item Number A77719 I also have received the Philosophy TSV for Nov and here it is:  Item Number A77756 Happy Shopping ladies

Brrrrrrr. It is cool and breezy this morning.  I head back to work this morning.  Ugggh! I would rather go to the school again, and help out there, but I can't this time.  We had fun yesterday, and the kids really enjoyed the extra attention that I could help their teacher give them! Another great thing happened yesterday. Molly, my baby, lost her first tooth!!!!  It had been loose for days, and my DH and I had tried several times, but just couldn't get ahold of it, ao I walked with her to the nurses office, and she was able to grab it, and yank it right out! She didn't cry a bit, but I was the one getting weak. I can't stand the sight of blood, especially my girls'! Now she whistles when she talks. It is so cute!  The adult teeth are already up, and that will be easier for them to move forward. Well, time to go get the girls up for school. Have a great day all. TTYL
At Goal! 165 pounds gone forever! Thank you Lord!

Good morning all, I am at work as well.  Eating my yummy oatmeal. The preop tests I had were blood work, then I had to blow in this bag and drink this stuff that taste like really strong lemonade and wait 15 min. and blow in another bag.  Chest X-ray, upper GI (have to drink barium), pulmonary tests (it consists of a bunch of deep breathing, you will feel like you are going to pass out), had an ultrasound as well.  That is all I can think of right now that I had.  It wasnt too bad.  Good luck! Good Morning All, What a shock of cold weather I had this morning.  I am NOT looking forward to winter.  This will be my second one in Indiana and I think I prefer the Arizona desert winters instead. My surgeon wanted to know my all around health before surgery so I had to run the gamut.  Cardiology clearance, OB/GYN clearance (mammogram and pap), plus all the regular stuff, blood work, physc eval, chest xray, etc, etc, etc.  Was worth the time and effort for me.  The only time I had to drink the yucky stuff was after surgery to make sure there was no leakage from the new pouch and all. Hope everyone has a good day and keeps warm. Julie

The upper GI is by far the worst part of the testing.  The barium is disgusting.  I actually gave it back to them in the cup after about two pictures and they decided they would just use those two.  I pray I NEVER have to drink barium again. Looks like a cool sunny week for us here after a few showers tonight.  That means I'll prolly bundle Gwyn up and go walking some.  She loves to be outside.  In particular, she likes the wind.  I'd like to get some more cardio in, but since they pulled me off everything when I was preggo with Gwyn, I'm a little hesitant to do anything til I see the dr on the 2nd.  So far I haven't really gained anything since getting preggo, just maintained.  Which is pretty much the same as when I got preggo with Gwyn.  I'm really going to try to keep the gaining to a minimum.  I can already tell it will be harder this time around, as now I can graze, where before I couldn't. I have also discovered that I am in love with the melting pot.  There is a huge shopping area about three blocks from us known as the plaza, and has all the upscale stores and restaurants, including the melting pot.  We like to go for happy hour and have cheese and veggies.  When the chocolate comes, I just eat the fruit (because trust me, i ate a marshmellow once, and I'll NEVER do it again)

Happy Thursday all. I am not sure what the temp is outside but I know it is in the 40's and I am so coooold! Ever since surgery I get so cold that I feel like I am freezing. I was always the queen of hot flashes and now I am always under a blanket. I went outside last night and felt like a snowman. This is a big change for me!  I am feeling a bit better today than I was last night. I just didn't feel to good. I didn't want to eat anything and drinking was a chore but I got all my fluid and protien in anyway. It was hard but did it. I am going to do some more cleaning around here. I know that DH told me not to but I think that is some of my problem. I just have so much energy that I don't want to stop my positive roll. I am not use to so much energy. The diabetes seemed to take it out of me and now I feel like a new person. I would have never thought that would happen like it did. It was so fast.  I wish everyone a good day and to stay warm. I am sure going to try to keep warm but somehow I doubt that I will.

I second the not ready for winter comments. I'm freezing. The air was crisp enough this morning to take my breath away already! Crazy.  I bought the stuff to make chili for supper! It sounds good. I probally will keep some beans out for me and try them because I know tomatoe sauce + my stomach wouldn't be a pretty thing right now. But it usually makes enough to feed my hungry hubby for a few days and after working in the cold factory all day I'm sure it'll sound good to him.  Not much else is happening round here though working on getting some house work done little by little. :)
