I am one week out today and am going to get the drain out at Doc Jones today! YAY!!! This darn thing is annoying lol. I am doing pretty good with everything I believe...except for protien...I am getting down as much as possible...I am thinking I will have to order some Profect and try that. I am of course still having trouble sitting for long periods but I can walk like crazy! My DH stayed home the week of my surgery (thank goodness) and now my two year old and I are back on our own (all though I can call momma at anytime ) My teeth are hurting...weird...is that because of calcium??? I can now lay on my sides with a little more ease!!! YAYAYAYAY!!! Oh and I have lost a total of 20 pounds exactly!!!! WOW!    Well I am off to start the day! Have a great one everybody!!!

Congratulations Lisa! It's wonderful that your DH was able to stay home with you during the first week to help you out. I'm sure that made a big difference. Like you, I am just now able to start sleeping on my side here and there. It's a good thing because I don't know how much more my back could take! Congratulations and keep up the good work!!!!

Sounds like you are doing great. I never had a problem sleeping on my side and boy am I glad about that. My back is so bad that I can't sleep on it. But I have to say that is starting to change. Must be the weight loss!  Better things yet to come for all of us! My DH stayed home the week I came home which was last week and went back to work yesterday. I wish that he was home only because I miss him. Other than that I have more energy than I have in years. I am doing things around the house but I am careful not to overdo. Even if I was to try my body tells me to slow down. lol

Glad to hear you are all doing well.  I am 2 wks post op today and doing well.   That drain tube is the worst.  I started hurting in my chest and called the doc and they said it was probably the tube, so they told me how to take it out.  So I got mine out a little early.  I havent weighed myself since I went to my week post op check up.  I had lost 12 lbs at 1 week.  As far as the protein, I had to go to Walmart and get some of the Whey protein that you mix with milk.  I tried the recipe the bariatric center said, but I couldnt drink that much in 1 day.  The powder mix is 46 grams of protein in 2 scoops + you protein in your milk, you get real close to 65, then I drink an extra glass of milk during the day.  Good luck!
