I am looking for a clean inexpensive room close to St. Vincents and was wondering if any of you had any information.  I have to have an endoscopy done next week and have to be there at 7:30 a.m. and since I live two hours south I thought if I could find a room I would just go up the night before. Thanks for any input you can give.

We stayed in Comfort Inn the night before my surgery and I think it was close to 80.00 that night but there were 4 of us adults.

Call the hospital and check.  I would guess they have a a hotel close that offers a special rate. E

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou has done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

There are several hotels along Meridian St.  At 103rd and Meridian is a Jamison Inn that used to be a signature inn.  Might be the least expensive close hotel.  Other low cost options would be on Michigan Rd and 465.

Go through priceline.com and enter your own price.  Each time I've had to go I've done this and stayed for $50 a night.  Make sure you mark 3 star or above.  You don't get to choose which one you stay in but I've never been disappointed.  I've also never had $50 rejected as the named cost.  I did get $40 rejected. Hope this helps! Jacqui

The Hampton Inn is very close, and new.  I think the St. v's rate is $80.00 a night.  Just tell them your a patient at the Hospital.
