Ok so these are silly ?'s but they are things that have crossed my mind lol. They said to wash with Antibacterial soap the night before and the morning of surgery and not to use lotion...so do we put deoderant on (LMAO ok go ahead and laugh...once I though about it, it does seem like a ridicualous question) I just dont want to mess up lol. Also they said to leave the purse and cash and stuff at home...wont I need my license to check in???? Ok that is all for now lol. I can't wait to sit next to everyone on the losers bench!!!!

I carried my drivers license and my insurance cards and gave them to hubby after I checked in. You can try that? I didn't actually need them to check in when I got there but just in case.

I don't see the harm to deodorant, as long as it's a stick and not a spray that will go all over.  I think about all the women who have a c-section after failed labor, they've probably used deodorant but haven't had anti-bacterial showers in the last day, and they do just fine.  The surgeon is still going to apply a surgical scrub soap to your abdomen before surgery. Make sure to leave jewelry, including earrings and wedding rings, toe rings, etc at home.  You don't want any risk of those getting lost! I'm a big fan on bringing my favorite pillow whenever I'm spending the night away from home.  It might keep you more copy post-op. Good luck!

They want clean dry skin so all those electodes will stick to your skin...very important to get good readings on how your heart is doing during surgery.  Im sure deoderant will be fine as long as u dont take a bath in it.  Just a little under the arms.  I know on hot days I used to put it in skin folds and under my breasts....U cant do that on this day!!! Good luck on your surgery...I look forward to hearing how u are doing.   Pamela

LoL thank you...Also I do the under the flap thing to with deoderant lol.....I am just know starting to get the bouncies (dont want to stay still lol) I am by no means scared I am just anxious in a good way! LOL My best friend is very confused about this..lol she thinks I should be scared out of my mind...I am honestly just ready to start my journey! I know it is going to be hard but I als know those little award moments (hitting the 199 mark, fitting in to my jeans comfortably, getting off meds, running around with my daughter and not being easily irritated cuz I am outta breath lol) are what makes the bad bareable!

I think you are totally normal.  I wasnt scared either.  I did just like you and got a little anxious!!!  I really never had much pain...in the hospital they kept me in shots...got home and tried to do without the pain meds and was able to for a few days and then right before the drain came out it started buggin me so I had to take the liquid lortab for about 24 hrs and then once the drain was out I never touch the stuff again.  I think u have a great dr and it should be a peice of cake for you.   Im so excited for you and looking forward to hearing all about your wt loss over the next few months.  The most important thing of this journey is getting healthy.  You will be running around with your daughter in no time.
