My surgeon suggested waiting until I had lost weight. Said hernia repair would be more successful. Makes sense that I wouldn't have all the extra weight pulling on it. In the meantime, I aquired two more hernia's down my incision line. I had open RNY. Anyway, he fixed the hernia's, put in a large piece of mesh, and the added benefit of tucking away a little of that extra skin I had. Not like a full tummy tuck, but hey I'm a poor girl and will take what I can get. I had all this done at the end of June. Although, I did have more pain than I had with the RNY. (He said this was because of all the pulling and tugging they had to do). I am now doing fine and very happy with the results. Good Luck, and I hope everything goes well for you.
