surgery date!!

Ok, I decided to email Amy at Dr. Clarks to find out if she knew when my surgery date was. It had been forever since I had heard from anyone. Amy emails me back and wants to know if I had ever gotten a surgery date from Comm. before, because they have me scheduled for MONDAY (Oct. 15th)...!!!! So, I emailed her back and told her no, that the last I heard was they would call me with a date, that was almost 4 wks. ago!!!  Now Im a nervous wreck!!!!!

This could be good.  If it is Monday, you will be so busy this weekend getting ready that you won't have time to worry!!  Good thing you emailed Amy.

Congratulations!  Lucky You!  Like the other poster said, at least this way you won't have much time to be nervous since you don't have too much advance notice.  Let us know how you are doing.

This could be good but it could be bad...lol...I have gone totally blank on all I need to do before i leave for surgery!!! I guess my first thing would be to call Amy in the morning and find out what time my surgery is???...lol

Find out if there is a special diet you need to eat the day before surgery.  Pack. . . you don't need much, but take something loose and comfortable to wear home.  Pay any bills or do any business that you night have to do for the next week.  Clean 'cause you won't feel like it for a while.  After calling the doctor's office and confirming surgery, call the hospital and find out if you need to preregister.   Make a list of to dos and get going.  And, I'ld get something to read for at home after surgery, Good luck  and keep us posted.

Wow, good thing you emailed her!  At least you don't have much time now to get all nervous about it ... or to go on a binge!  Good luck on Monday!

Ok, heres an update on my surgery. I called the office today and seems Pam had been out of the country for 2 wks. and thought all this had been taken care of. Pam gets my chart and looks and my surgery is indeed Monday Oct. 15th @ 8:30am, I have to be @ the hospital @ 6:30am. She said strict diet this weekend, so i asked..."liquids"...?? Pam said, Oh no!!..just low cal., low fat...just to shrink the liver a bit!!!  :)  it just keeps getting better, she also stated that if I do as told and walk, walk, walk, I could possibly come home Tuesday afternoon!!!  :)   so I guess I will pack my lip balm, deodorant, brush and toothbrush/toothpaste and wait the weekend out!!!......ok...now Im nervous!!!! 

OMG thank God you emailed! CONGRATS on the date...just do what you were told to do this weekend and it will fly by and MOnday you will be on the losers bench!!!  woooooohoooooooo!!!!
