So long diabetes... forever..
I had an appointment with my PCP today and my last a1c was 8.2 (which is really bad and requiring insulin) and that had been my highest a1c which means my diabetes was really starting to get out of control, that was bout a week after my surgery. My latest a1c (they did it a little early) was 6.1 when it gets under 6 that is pretty much no longer diabetic range!! Thats exciting, hehe I'm tickled pink. Not to mention that I've been off all diabetes meds (except for like 2 weeks when I had to be on steroids for my asthma) since a week out of surgery also!!
I'm soo excited! Today is a GOOD day!!
Congratulations, Misty. I am happy that your diabetes is finally under control. I knew you would one day realize why you had the surgery, even after all the trouble you had at the beginning of the new life. You are going to be getting better each and every day, I just know it! All the prayers that we all have been saying have really kicked into overdrive, and they will continue to help you out! Way to go, and again, congratulations!
At Goal! 165 pounds gone forever! Thank you Lord!
