Hope everyone's weekend is going well so far. It is going to be a great day at the casino, and I am going to enjoy seeing all the people.  Mariah and Molly's friend is spending the night again tonight.....both her parents work with us at the casino, and it will be very late when they get off work, so she stays with us on most Sat. nights, and then on Sunday morning we all go to church together. It is so good to see the youth at our church......we have so many! That just means life and growth! And above all, FUTURE of the church! Time to get ready for work, so have a wonderful day!

Happy Saturday to all. I am going to be busy today getting some of the last minute things needed for Monday and packing. Leave it to me to save everything for the last minute. lol Some things will never change. Tomorrow is church and communion too but I won't be able to take it. I am not gong to like that. But things are as they are and He knows why. Hope everyone has a wonderful day today. I am sure I will. The sun is out and I feel so much better when that happens! Take time to and have a great day today.

Good Morning Fellow Hoosier Losers, What a beautiful day here.  I was up and at 'em early today.  Had the car serviced and while it was being done found a beautiful spot to take my morning walk.  At noon we are going to my oldest son and DIL for lunch.  Most of my day will be spent typing though.  I do transcription work as a 2nd job and have lots of typing to do today.  The scale moved 1.5 lbs this morning so that was an exciting way to start the day out.  I can't wait to hit the 100 lb mark.  I have 8 more lb to go.  Shopping is so much fun now.  Yippee.  Better get back to the typing.  Everybody have a great day!! Happy Saturday everyone! So nice to be able to post from a CHAIR at my desk instead of sitting hunched over on the floor. Just been busy unpacking the new house.  Things are moving along a lot slower than I'd like, but you know how it goes when you can't just do things yourself.  Most of the boxes that are left to move / unpack are too heavy for me to lift safely, so I have to wait for someone else to feel like doing something before I can get busy. Chris starts his new job on Monday and I'm so excited for him, and so proud of him.   I'm very excited to pack his lunch for him, silly as that sounds.  The new baby should be due around the beginning of June / late May.  Hopefully he is saving up some vacation time for that!  SO much for our trip to Vegas (again)  that we were planning.  Maybe we should stop planning that trip, everytime we do I end up pregnant! Take care and have a great weekend!

Your post put a chuckle in my heart.  I grew up going to a church I really loved...but was very strict.  It was a sin to buy a lottery ticket much less step foot in a casino.  I had to laugh when u said your friend and u go to work at the casino and then to church together.  Where I used to go so many yrs ago we couldnt even go out to eat in a restraunt if it sold alcohol.....sounds like times are changing even in the churches.   Im ashamed to say its been a while since since Ive been to my church (its now a 2 hr drive from where I live here in IN,  its in OH)   Congrats on your wt loss too!!!

As the saying goes..........Times, they are a changin'!  Our church is a big supporter of the casino.  It has brought funds not only to the community, but also new members (us included) to all the local churches. Our church is a very small church with not many members, and it had also lost membership due to the deteriation of the entire community.  One of the members is a congressman, and he has spent every moment in office working on getting the casino to our community. Knowing what it would bring to the national landmark that French Lick Resort was previously, it just would have to bring more to the entire community and county. Orange county was one of the poorest counties in the state until the casino opened almost 1 year ago. Now, with the opening of the casino, the community is starting to thrive again......new roads, resturaunts, the West Baden Dome is now open again and has brought over 400 jobs just to that hotel, there is a movie theater opening up this week! They are in the process of clearing the land for a new hotel with an indoor waterpark........kinda like the Holiday Inn in Indy. It has finally brought life back to the area, and I am proud to be a part of it. Do you have a local church that is in the same denomination that you attended when you were growing up? If so, stop in sometime and visit with the pastor.......even if you don't attend a service, it will enlighten your heart.

God Bless and have a wonderful day!

Sounds like a very exciting time for you and your city.  I know when I first moved to Indiana 15 yrs ago the town I lived in was very similar to what u were talking about.  It seemed to have been a very wealthy area esp in the 20's and 30's.  It has huge old homes that are totaly awesome....but now no one can afford to fix them up and the town has no jobs.  Its such a shame to see them deteriorating.  The town could be so beautiful. The town I live outside of now is so small...I dont think it ever was more than a small farming communitly.  I hope your town continues to thrive.  After all we know u will be thriving and blossoming into the beautiful woman u have always wanted to be.  Your kids will soon be having to keep up with u instead of the other way around.   Have a great weekend.  Im off tonight/which is Monday for me...becouse its Columbus Day!!
