I have been to the doctors office once a week since I have been home.  I cant seem to get rid of the nausea at all.  Its been no picnic thats for sure.  So today Dr Diaz has decided that we will do a scope next tuesday at noon.  Dr Gupta will be doing it. I know I have heard they aren't anything to be scared about but I still am at least a little bit.  I do know that if it makes me feel better I'm all for it.  I have lost 39 lbs and thats good, but I just want to be well so that I can enjoy that lose.  Has anybody here had Dr Gupta do their scopes? Well thats it I think that I was just needing some reassurance here.  Thanks

Ulisha, When are you having your endo done? Dr. Gupta use to do them on Tuesdays & Thursdays but it's been awhile since my last one. If it's just nausea/vomiting then your stoma probably just needs dilated back open because of a stricture and you'll feel great after having it done. If you are having some pain as well (usually eases up when you eat) then you may have an ulcer so they'll give you meds for that. I would bet it's a stricture though. Endo'sare the best way for them to go in a see what's going on. And hey, you get the in-color pics to put in your medical profolio..lol They'll start an IV, you'll go in la-la land, you wake up about 10 minutes later. You can't drive that day but other than that, Endo's are typically no big deal. Sherri Edited: Sorry...just saw where you had put that it's going to be next Tuesday...lol. If yu escalate from nauseated to not being able to keep anything down (especially liquids) be sure you call them and let them know. I have had to have an endo on a Sunday before.

Yep its on tuesday, was hoping it was sooner cuz i'm over the nausea stuff.  For the most part it is just nausea and vomiting so I was thinking a stricture too.  I haven't had anything to eat in almost a week, maybe a bite here or a bite there, and my doctor knows this.  I have even pulled muscles in my left shoulder and side with all the dry heaving lol.  So I'm looking forward to this endo if its gonna make me feel better.  I think my kids would agree that they are all for it to if I'm gonna feel better cuz mom has been quite grouchy lol.  Thanks Sherri for all your info.
