Thursday morning!

Good morning everyone! I had my 1 week yesterday. The drainage tubes are still going good so they'll be my companions for a while longer. I'm cool with that. I'd rather have all three of them than have problems from a single one of them not being there & more drainage occur with no where for it to go. Dr. B still feels that the area that is blistered looks good since the skin is nice & pink there and not flaming red or anything...so no infection. Of course, she's had my on an anti-biotic since day 1 so I'm sure that's helping (which of course means I'm going to have one heck of another type of infection by the time I'm off of it!). I'll be on the anti-biotic at least until all the drain tubes are gone. I would guess that she might would wait a few days beyond that because of my blisters...depending on how they look by then. After the doc's appt, we dropped Bill & Rod (Tiff's dh) off at home and then us girls went to Walgreens (scripts & bactitracin), Kroger (Fruit and sf popcycles), the Sandwich Machine (lunch for a few days!!), then home. It felt so good to get out for a little bit but boy was I worn out, but a good worn out! Then, I got to have a long talk with Kymi..a dear friend of mine (the one who took my pre-op photos for me). We giggled like school girls!! A little while later, Ellen and I were finally able to quit playing phone tag. It was so great to hear her voice! And then I got to wrap up my day with a short chat online with a friend I haven't seen in over a year. I really, really appreciate and love my kids, grandkids, and Bill but there's something about contact with friends when you aren't at your best that just really gives your day a boost! Last night, Bill & I each put in an order for Chance's (our grandson) school fund raiser. The little guy loves the Hummer rides he gets if he gets so many items ordered. Here's the cool thing..they had it where we could order online! We were able to use our credit card info and it will be shipped directly to us. And there was a huge selection! That is SO much better than in the day of having a booklet of candy & cookies! I was able to order some Christmas gifts...and Tiff won't see them first since they'll be coming HERE. Well..other than my shower, etc (which that routine can take 2-3 hours), no big plans for today. Recouperating. Yep. That's what is on my slate for today! That's a good thing! Sam...I got the note..my AO was sent out of Florida at 6:21 pm last night! Yeah!! You all have a terrific Thursday! Sherri
