Hi all, it's early Tuesday morning. I am up from the dogs getting me up, and couldn't fall back asleep. That's okay, it's almost time for the alarm to go off anyway. I haven't been on alot lately. I miss you all. We have been heading to Bloomington so much though. Yes, my son is still in the hopstial there. With hope, he will be coming home tomorrow. He's set to be discharged that day. I think it seems like he's doing better. I am very worn out though. Today I'm going in to work, so as to catch up with things as best as I can. That won't be fun, but a necessary evil.  Well, I just wanted to say hi, and thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for me and my boy.

Good morning everyone...FROM HOME! Linda...My heart goes out for you with your son. I remember all too well the summer I was forced to do something similar. Enjoy work. Yes, I said 'enjoy'. Allow it to get your mind off your son for a little bit. I think we all need that distraction when we are going through something in our personal life. Well...last night for the first night since surgery.....I slept through the night!! I fell asleep ~11:30 and woke up at 6! Not only did I have to go potty like crazy since my bladder isn't use to waiting that long right now, but was WAY past vicodin time as well. I'm hoping to get off of them asap but.I hadn't had any since 7 last night so 11 hours was WAY too long in between. It's starting to ease up a little bit now. I want to thank all of you for your loving support, prayers, and concerns through-out all of this. I know that I have several weeks of recouperation yet ahead of me, but I really feel like the roughest part is behind me. The not being able to breath thing was way worse than oops, should've taken some more vicodin before snoozeville hit. I really would welcome your calls, visits, emails. I honestly could not have said that a few days ago even though I missed you guys so much! I was just so fortunate to be in such good hands at St. Vincent's. Every nurse and every tech I had, I ended up loving them by the time their shift was half-done. We'd even joke around between us...and that was even with the ones who weren't 'mine'. I became theirmascot hallway monitor so I'd pass messages from one end of the hall to the other for them..even down to 'go fly a kite'...LOL! The dietary staff and I got along great...one of them, we'd talk for 15-20 minutes every time she came in to get my food order. The housekeeping staff was terrific...and they'd even ask if I needed anything, etc. All the doctors and respritory staff were great (with only that one exception). I am so glad I had chosen St. V's for my RNY 3 yrs ago. Because of the wonderful care they gave me, I had switched most of my care over to there and even though it is quite abit farther for us to drive and we have several hospitals alot closer to us, I have never regretted the switch! You all have a really terrific day! Me? I'm waiting for my wonderful BM, shower, icing up....and a few hours out of this compression garmet so it can get WASHED!!!! Woo-hoo! Enjoy the seemingly small pleasures in life folks....THEY are what count! love you all! Sherri

Uggh. it is too early! Today is filled with the plumbers coming and installing a brand new ho****er heater. Our other one just started leaking water out of the top, even when the water supply is turned off to it! Talk about strange! LOL  Anyway, our landlord called Orange Co. REMC, and they are going to put a new one in. Sure saves us the trouble of doing the manual labor. After they get started with that, it is on to taking out the window unit air conditioner and putting the window back in.  Our landlord had rented one for us for the summer, and now that the temps are dropping, and our ductwork is scheduled to be repaired next week, we don't need the window a/c anymore.  Thats good too, because I would much rather have my windows anyway! I just hope it doesn't turn hot again before it stays on the cooler side. Have a great day all!

Morning Everyone We are heading out here shortly (7:30 am) to go get Mr Q and bring him home. We will likely be home and ready for guests sometime around 1p or so. It will be nice to be able to do what I want with my own child w/o a nursing staff telling me what I can or can not do with him. I'm looking forward to having him home. Being able to just look at him when I want to. Anyways - I'm out to go get him. Everyone have a good day! Jodi

I'm so glad that everyone is doing well... Jo gets to bring the little one home, Sam is engaged, Sherri got to come home, Linda gets to bring her little one home!!! YEAH!!!

I want a little one so I printed off a picture of a newborn... I PROMISED myself when i had this surgery that i was NOT going to get prego until I got all my weight off... I want to start trying at a year out in March... which means I need to get the rest of this weight in roughly 6 months... I know that since my weight loss has slowed down I need to up my physical activity... I printed off that picture of a newborn so I could look at it and be reminded of what I'm striving for and my goal... so I would get up off my butt and exercise... This morning i got up and went for a jog... my legs feel like jello... good thing i got up and went too because i was going to go to kick boxing tonight but something just came up and i can't go... I don't have to be at work til 9 so getting up at 7 and going for a half hour jog/walk shouldn't be that big of a deal... but my DH doesn't get home til midnight so I don't get to bed until 1 am... I can't go all weekw ithout seeing him... tried and I just can't so I have to stay up and see him... I signed up for my next quiltling class and it's tomorrow i'm so excited... it's 3 classes to get this quilt finished but it's going to be awesome when I get it done... I can't wait to see everyone at the clothing exchange... Well talk to you all later and have a great tuesday

Hello everyone. It sounds like everyone is having a good Tuesday. I am thinking that mine might be good too. I hope so. I got a call from Dr. Stanish's office and they contacted a doctor and I am waiting for their office to call me. The nurse told this dr's office that I needed a endoscope ASAP and so they are suppose to be calling me. So far nothing but I am anxious and have to have  patience. UGH! That is something I don't have a lot of and that is the truth for sure! I told the girl at Dr. Stanish's office that I am suppose to have surgery on Monday and she told me that is still a go so that made me feel better. So I am hoping that they day goes as well as I am thinking it might.

Tuesday tuesday lol sheesh where has this year gone? I had to go to an appointment today with a female doc and they said come back in 2 months and scheduled my appointment and then I realized that in 2 months it'll be December?? SHEEESH  Anyways I'm feeling a little better today, still really nauseated and having stuff come up but the stuff I'm putting in my G tube isn't going right through me anymore. I'm still really wore out and still feel really dehydrated but I'm pushing the fluids as much as possible. Other then all that I'm feeling okay!! Very tired though I may need to take a nap I think.  Linda I'm glad your son is doing better Jo Congrats on bringing Q home :)  Sherri I'm soo glad your starting to feel better.  Jess  I KNOW exactly what you mean about the baby thing, that was one of my main reasons for wanting this surgery, I KNEW it could help my PCOS and all. Anyways thats all for now ..
