Clothing Exchange.... Set...Info

Hi Everyone, Just wanted to post and let ya all know that it has been set! Clothing Exchange/Pitch-In October 27, 2007 11-3 6705 East Julian Ave Indianapolis, Indiana 46219 Dawns Cell=317-682-8074 Please note that this is a different location! Hopefully this can be the final location as far as me hosting! It is at the school that I am working at! It is all 1 level, with door entrance and bathrooms all at the same end. Being held in the cafeteria/gym and we have 42 tables that can be tables or benches! I hope that this is more convenient for ALL involved and that this can eleviate any need for the extra emergencies that were unexpected before! I am truthfully trying to look out for everyone,  pre-op, post-op and non op! There are small fees involved with getting the school! If anyone is interested in doanating the fees please let me know! I would also be willing to offset those fees by accepting donations for the Before/After Care Program, which will go directly to the Program that I am Directing in the School!These items could be as simple as crayons, craft supplies, coloring books, buttons, old magazines, used/new games, decks of cards etc! The children would love it and it will all be an appreciated donation! Please keep in mind that this is for everyone but is intended to help those of us whom have had surgery first and foremost! All that I ask is that you give the post-op in attendance the first dibs and enjoy shopping with us after about 10-15 minutes! Also- there will still continue to be a pitch-in and food is an option! I hope that you can enjoy the items that each of us bring! However I realize that some do not like the fct that there are desserts at this function. I am sorry if this offend any of you but I feel this journey is about choses! You can choose to never have a dessert again or you may choose to learn to enjoy a special WLS friendly version in moderation from time to time. We each have individual choices to make throughout our journies and this also is one of them! Please feel free to come and meet as many of us as you can for all of the newbies and the lurkers out there! It is a great group of people and we do offer ALOT of support! I am happy to continue doing this wonderful cause that dear Deb started for us so long ago! Lets keep it all going and enjoy each others company! Well seeing as how I love the fall season I think its great having an AUTUMN theme to our clothing exchange.  I think I'll have to make a big pot of soup and bring it in my big Pumpkin soup tureen. Dawn you do an awesome job at this...I loved it at the church so Im glad u said this was a different place or I might not have paid attention to the address and showed up at the church again....lol

I love the fall also! Can't wait to get back home and decorate my kitchen in ALL of my scarecrows!!!! The church was nice but after having an emergency with the satirs I thought that it would be better to try and find somewhere that is ALL one level! Since working at the school and having everything at my fingertips, I can't get much better! Don't have to wait either for someone to let me in and get ready for the setup. I have the keys and codes and can get things ready at my convenience- YIPPEE!!! It isn't too far from the church though, only about 2-3 minutes! See ya soon with the soup!!!! Hugz Dawn

Wow Dawn,  I had no idea we had an emergency.  It must have been after I left the last one???  I hope everything ended up ok! I got out all my fall dishes a couple of weeks ago.  I used them for a baby shower 2 weeks ago at work.  Everyone loved my soup...had to pass the recipe out to everyone via email.  So I already have it all typed up!!! I"M SO THERE!!! My clothes are falling off of me... Does anyone have a 14/16 or size 14 bathing suit that they can bring? that they know won't fit them next year... I'm going on a cruise in december and mine don't fit anymore... I'm thinking I'll be down to that size by the time I go
