Does anyone know where I can get recipes for foods that I will be able to eat after my surgery? I say a few posted but is there any more out there? Thanks

I dont know what hospital u are having your surgery at but at St. V they sell a cookbook for like $10 when u go to your pre op class.  It has recipes for liquid protien drinks for those first few weeks and then soft recipes and moves on from there.   I know the folks at Clarian gets lots of recipes at their support groups...plus if u want something specific let me know and I can look thru my 200 cookbooks and covert something for you to make it wls friendly.... You can also get involved in yahoo groups that have recipes and ebay often has ppl selling baratic cookbooks... I hope this helps....

Or you can check out some of our profiles..many of us put them there. Other cookbooks you may want to look for: diabetic cooking, splenda cookbooks. I have them and I have the one St. V's sells...I have yet to make anything from the St. V's one. Sherri

There is also a recipe forum on this site.  Click on forum and go all the way down to more forums.  Then it will bring up different boxes with different forums, I think it is all the way to the bottom on the left hand side in that box there is like baking and cooking forum and a recipe forum.  I found some in there and copied and pasted them into word to save for future use.   Jenny

Clarian Bariatrics holds cooking classes at their northwestside office.  You don't have to be one of their patients to attend.  The next one is scheduled for October 25th at 6:00 pm.  They have wonderful recipes that your whole family can enjoy!  I have a bunch of them already and would be happy to mail you copies.  Just pm me and give me your mailing address.

I wish that we could have our OWN recipie book printed up! I have collected cookbooks for years, since I went to culinary school, and I was a chef! LOL  I have helped developing and printing of several cookbooks for chairity fundraisers, and they are fun, as long as you get participation.  I am sure that between all of us, we would be able to get some sort of compilation of recipies to make our own cookbook!
