Well I had my first appointment today and I have lost 27 pounds and I'm 2 weeks out, so that was pretty exciting. The dietition did her best to help me out with my protien issues, lots of suggestions for me to try, I'm beginning to think that maybe i'm just a big weeny and will just have to suck it up and drink wether my pouch likes it or not lol. When I went to see Dr Diaz (love to visit him he is just so up beat and cheery) He tried suggesting things, but of course he is into having you eat pureed tuna and eggs which I have been able to tolerate the tuna but have been to chicken to try the eggs.  The last few days I have had lost of nausea, not so fun I hate puking it hurts lol.  He had me go down to the short stay and get a few bags of liquid.  Now mind you my appointment was at 9 am and they are like you should only be here a couple of hours for this, well my good ol self always makes things complicated and I was there until 2:15.  The second bag had lots of vitiams and stuff like that, they call it the banana bag, its yellow.  Well with in 3 mins of that bag being hooked up I went into severe pain down my back and into my legs, couldn't breath, and felt like i was on fire.  So needless to say I now know I'm allergic to iv niacin.  Doesn't sound bad when ya type it on here but at that time I thought I was dying lol.  The nurses were great but when it was over they were like that was a learning experiace for them cuz they have never saw anybody react to just a banana bag.  I guess I just have to make my journey a interesting one lol.  Well I guess I rambled enough on here for now.  I better be going.  PS--I cant remember who suggest talking to the guy at The Cutting Edge but he was wonderful in helping find something that would work for me protien wise.  He even went as far as opening and letting me sample things and helping with diluting them to see if it would help.....I'm sure I will be back to see him lol.

Congrats on your loss Sorry to heard you had the allergic reaction.  They are not fun.  That kind of happened to me once with CT dye.  Found out I was allergic to that when I was having a CT done.  I just turned red and itchy.  Live and learn
