I know I'm going to miss Pepsi. In my hayday, I used to drink a 2 liter per day. Now I am doen to about 12 oz per day- if I drink a whole can...but jeez, this one is gonna be hard on me. How about you all? What was the one thing that was hard to give up? Angie

Angie I'm not saying this to be totally cheesy or cliche but I really don't miss anything.  I still have Diet Coke...granted now it is Caffeine Free and a much smaller quantity which I thought would be really difficult to give up.  I also still have chocolate.  However, instead of eating an entire bag of Hershey mini bars I have one and am totally satisfied.  I don't miss being tired all the time, out of breath, only being able to shop in a few stores, feeling like people are starting at my all the time, etc. Ok I lied, I guess I do miss Ben & Jerry...those *******s  Sam

Angie... Nothing at all. I've been able to find sugar-free versions of anything I REALLY like (like butterfingers...whitman has a peanut butter crunch that is close enough to the real thing to satisfy that 'want'). So nope, nothing at all. Sherri ps....I THOUGHT I'd miss ciggarettes and pop, but I don't at all

all i miss right now is raw veggies I know it is just too early in the phase.  But I would love a salad.  Isn't that funny you would think it would be something real fattening.  Good Luck I love my new life.

Angie Like you I to was a pepsi-holic!!  After my surgery, well I guess I should clarify how long after my surgery, Probably about a year after my surgery I started to try diet pepsi.  It satisfies me.  Before surgery I hated it.  It always felt like it was making be feel bloated and not to metion the taste.  It was awful!!!  Now I love it.  But wait as long as possible if you must drink pop.  If you really don't need it or want it don't drink it.  Be sure to get completely off of caffeine before your surgery, you definately do not want a caffeine headache, those are horrible.  Good luck with your surgery. Well since I'm only 10 days post op I am not hungry at all but I still miss everything at this point LOL I'm not a big hot dog fan but yet my son fixed him one for lunch and I looked at it and thought ooooh what i would do for one of those with lots of mustard.  I need blinders so I cant see their food and a nose clip to keep from smelling the stuff.
