what's a panni portion???? sorry to sound stupid but i don't know what it is. would like to know more.

Not stupid at all! The only way to find out some things is to ask! The panni part is the portion below the belly button from hip to hip. Many insurance companies will cover having this excess skin removed especially if you've had weight loss surgery, loss over 100 lbs, are at a steady weight, and have had rashes due to the skin. I'm actually having the abdominoplasty done which means they'll go from hip to hip, cut an opening around the belly button, tighten all the abdominal muscles, lipo, ect, pull skin down as tight as they can to the pelvis, make a new opening for the belly button & sew you up. This is also referred to as a full tummy tuck. What Dr. Bergman does since the abdominoplasty includes what is removed during the panni is deduct what the insurance covers for the panni from the cost of the abdominoplasty. Doing it this way, the hospital night's stay is also covered. Hope this makes it clear as mud...lol! Sherri

Wow thanks. i had no idea. you must tell me how to get the insurance to pay for this because i will have alot of loose skin in the tummy and hip area.
