Missy,
The amount of urine is directly related to the very little fluids you have coming in. No more can come out than what is put in. The more you increase you water intake, the better improvement you will have with the urine...in quality as well as quantity.
The ketones...I am making an educated guess at saying that it is a signal of your going into ketosis. Ketosis is usually accompanied with a real nasty taste that brushing your teeth, etc. just doesn't get rid of. Ketosis occurs when you don't get nutrients in from food, namely, carbs. It is a MYTH to think this is a good thing. It isn't. If your body doesn't get what it needs from carbs, it moves on...not to your fat reserves but to your muscles. Sorry, but we all need every bit of muscle we have! Call your nut's office and tell them what your pcp found and ask for their guidance. They will most likely instruct you to drink either some gatorade or low-cal grape juice every day for 3-5 days to get your levels back where they belong. You'll know they are good because the bad taste in your mouth will be gone.
Until you are able to get your fluids and food in, you will see strange things happen to your levels and will definately feel like crap. Sip every waking moment. The more liquid you are able to get in, the better you will feel.

Missy I went into Ketosis after surgery because i couldn't get all my fluids in and i felt like **** to put it plainly... i had no energy and literally felt awful.. I started drinking some gatorade watered down half and half and it mademe feel like a whole different person... even today and i'm almost 6 months out i don't eat hardly any carbs my little pouch is still only big enough to hold my protein... i drink watered down fruit juice and gatorade today... try that and see if that helps... just make sure you water it down... because otherwise it could make you dump... i drank 100% apple juice watered down as well because it helps keep my bowels moving or i get constipated... TMI i know, but we all deal with either that or the opposite...
