Question about nut class
I received my paperwork regarding my 6 hr nut class. It asked on one of the papers if I have attended a St. V's support group? Is this a requirement, do I need to do this, because nobody ever told me anything about it or to schedule one?
Also, it says something about a physical and list 2 docs names, but says if you were not scheduled then your surgeon will do the physical the morning of your surgery. How come not everyone is scheduled for a physical, I was never told anything about a physical either.
Some doctors or insurance companies require that you attend a support group meeting. You can try and look for one in your area. I wasn't required that I attend a support group but I chose to and I'm glad I did. :) Of course I've only been able to go once and I was pre op then sooo I can't wait to go back in and see everyone at the next meeting. I missed the last one because I was put in the hospital again. Sooo we will see.
As far as the physical I have no clue? It's probally an insurance thing or something
Lord, keep me in your will so I won't be in your way.

No physical for me either. I had my nutrition class on Friday. I think Dr. Gupta must do it the day of surgery. I was kind of worried about that too, but no one has said anything... Also the support groups are not required (unless the psych makes you go), just recommended. There is one tomorrow night at 7 at St. V's. I've been to 4 (the psych said I had to) and have gotten a lot of interesting information from them and met many interesting people. Hope this helps, Beth
