8 Months out !

Hello everyone ! I am at 8 months out. I was wondering if any one else has this problem to. Some days I can eat my 5-6 ounces and some days I can't eat it all and then there are days I am a little more hungry than usual. Is this normal? I have lost a total of 112 pounds, that includes the 16 pounds before surgery.

Tammy, In my experience, that has been very normal for me. There are days that I am lucky to eat 3 bites of protein at dinner, but the next day, can eat 4 oz of protein with no problem. With me, I don't know if some days I'm hungrier or if it's mind hunger. I've only really felt true stomach hunger a few times...and I think most of those times ended up being 3 bite dinners.lol Congrats on the weight loss. Sherri

I'm like Sherri... I have days when I KNOW I can eat 6 ounces... and others when I am soooo hungry.. ( I think) I can only get in 3 ounces.. But I do KNOW you CAN get rid of alot of head hunger by drinking a glass of water... most of the time your body doesnt know hunger but it KNOWS dehydration!! First sign of hunger I feel I always reach for a glass of water... get it down then see if I am really hungry or not. And different KINDS of protien I can hold more.. Like chicken fills me up very fast and fish.. I can eat more of steak.. fast,  porkchops I can eat a whole one.. Linda Kay

Hi,  First, congratulations on your weight loss- fantastic!!! My pouch has been sensitive- partly because I have IBS, and it still flairs up at times to where I can't eat much. As far as getting 6oz. food in- some days I can and some days I can't . That is why on those days I make sure to drink my protien shakes- (I use Shake -a-Whey, & get it at Cutting Edge Nutrition in Castleton). White meat chicken & I still don't agree- & I am 22 cmo. out and just now able to eat alittle steak and pork. I mostly do seafood(I love it),cheese,turkey,dk. meat chicken( boiled or broiled), some peanutbutter, and alittle gr. chuck or round for my meats. I know everyone is differant, and that is why it is so important to find what works best for you- just stick to the food sheets you recieved from your Dietician as close as you can. If you have problems, call them- that is what they are there for!I know they sure helped me! (((hugs))) Ellen
