Julie,
Good luck on Monday, I certainly hope that the doctor wll work with you on this. How soon is the move supposed to take place? maybe you will still have time to get everything done. Hang in there and I am praying for you. Please let us all know what happens on Monday and remember we are all here for you if you need to talk. Have a great weekend.

This IS going to be rough... Dr's are going to be afraid you wont get the proper follow up care if you have the surgery and move.. Here I am 2 years out and had to have surgery to fill up the space left from removing some of my intestines on the first one. The nutrisonists appointments are valuable to get ideas and help thru the vitamins and minerals needed to survive after the surgery..
I wish you could have the surgery but I want for you to be assured of the follow up... your Drs will want to be assure of those future plans too. They wont want to do the surgery and let you leave... that would make them irresponsible, and open to lawsuit...

Also, you should check with the Dr you are wanting to go to in Arizonia. If he has dealt with people having weight loss surgery. And I work at St. V's Indy and a little FYI alot of other insurance companies will call this a pre existing condition if you have the surgery here and have the follow up there if you do not take your current medical insurance with you. So if your husbands job is a new one and the insurance will be new then you should make sure that pre existing things are covered.
Sorry to be negative I am only trying to give you a heads up..
Good Luck
Unfortunately, your doctor can't "fudge" things. Every time you see the doctor, he submits a claim to the insurance company. So if the doctor tries to say he's seen you more than he actually has, the insurance company will know he's lying. And that's insurance fraud, and he can be prosecuted and jailed for it!
