It's Thursday!

Hi everyone,  I am up & taking a few min. to post before getting ready to go to---work! My girlfriend called last night needing a hand while she's away, at the flower shop (Blooms by Sandy-Lebanon ,formerly Jones Florist) so I am helping out today & next Wed./Thurs.  I went to the Drs. & he said I am doing better- he could hear breath tones in my right lung better, & ruled out a blood clot in my lung! He told me it wil;l be another 3-6 weeks before I am over the virus, and no more prednizone unless I worsen.Isure hope not!!Also, he said "NO ELECTIVE SURGERIES OF ANY KIND- YOUR SYSTEM CAN'T TAKE IT". Seems my immune system is low anyway, and I just can't risk any more lung problems- so TT for me.I guess it is gonna be one of those "up to my chin girdles "for me! I met Floyd, Brenda,& Julie last night for coffee & went to my first Support Group meeting with Clairian Bariatrics, & had a great time! it's always a great time to be with my buddies, and the meeting was so insightful. I am going to plan on calling them & setting up a dieticians appt. I really was impressed with theire caring, patient first approach. I really am looking forward to going to the Speaker Event the are holding the 18th, & am going to ask my daughter if she'd like to come. I AM BACK TO WORK AFTER BEING OFF FOR 2 WEEKS WITHT THE ISSUES I WAS HAVING. BUT AM ON THE MEND AS WELL. WORK IS BUSY AND OFFERING OT FOR A CHANGE SO I WILL START WORKING THAT NEXT WEEK. GOING TO BUILD IT UP A LITTLE AT A TIME SO I DONT GET TO TIRED.  THIS WEEKEND JIM AND I ARE GOING TO THE GAMBLING BOAT DOWN SOUTH WITH SOME FRIENDS OF OURS. SHOULD PROVE TO BE FUN. WE ALSO HAVE A LAP TOP THAT WE MIGHT BE SELLING. I WILL HAVE TO GET THE DETAILS FROM JIM AND POST THEM HERE, BUT FOR HIM TO SAYS ITS A GOOD ONE MEANS SOMETHING CAUSE HE HATES LAP TOPS.. LOL HE IS AN " IT " GUY GO FIGURE.  WELL I AM SITTING HERE AT WORK AND GUESS I BETTER DO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE..LOL HAVE A BLESSED DAY ALL  VICKI

Oh, Vicky, please say that you are coming to see me in French Lick!!!  I would love to meet some of my friends from here! I do hope so! That would be great! My day started out with a bang!!!!  I got a phone call from Dr. Shina's office.......I have all of my paperwork filled out now. It only took me 1 1/2 HOURS!!!! There is a whole book to fill out!  Luckily I had already called my insurance company, and requested every answer to the questions they had!   I even have all of my medical history dating back to 2002 from my very first visit with the dr. in KY for weight loss!  I have all the history, all the trials and errors of my weight loss over the years, and even all the drifferent medicines that my pcp tried to put me on for weight loss!  I am so glad that I kept every single page of information, since I am sure that every detailed bit of information will be what I need to help get things going on the right track. Back to the story about the office calling,  the woman that I spoke with asked if I had recieved the packet yet, and I hadn't.  She suggestied that I download it online, and print it off.  I asked her if the one that I had already printed off was the one that they use.  It is!!!  I have been waiting all this time for the papers, when I already had them in my hand! LOL  After that was determined to be all I needed, she continued to make my day even better.  She said that since I already have everything else done, after the initial seminar and consultation with Dr. Shina, then we would go ahead and schedule all of my lab work and pre-op studies!!!  I couldn't believe my ears!!!!!  I said, "Are you joking? It will take me forever to get all that stuff done and scheduled, right???"  She said, no, that if I had already taken care of the insurance papers, including all the in-plan and out-plan information, and have a copy of the actual schedule of benefits, then we can just go ahead and get things scheduled for everything else!!!  I was so excited!!! I coudln't believe my ears!   I even called the insurance company on my next break and confirmed this with our plan coordinator! Yippie!!!  So, now all I have to do is keep calm and relaxed and stay focused on the next few days, because once the meeting is done, it will be just a matter of time that I am on the loosers bench with the rest of you!!! If things go as quickly as the drs. office and the insurance company agree on, I could be having my surgery by the end of this month, or at the very beginning of October!!!!! My next 3 days have to be a total meal diary......EVERYTHING!!!  I am ready, bring it on!
