Once in awhile we try to get together with our Hoosier Loser friends and it's about time again.  We usually do Chinese buffet, but some people can't do Chinese so I thought we'd try something different. When:  Tuesday, September 11, 2007  6:00 p.m. Where:  Ryan's Grill Buffet and Bakery                655 N. Shadeland Avenue                Indianapolis, IN  46219                (317) 359-7747 Menu for Tuesday:  Low Country Boil, Fried Chicken, Pizza, Chicken Pot Pie, Grilled Chicken Breast, Baked Chicken (seasoning may vary), Baked Whitefish, Lasagna w/ Meat Sauce or Macaroni & Beef.  Homestyle Chuck Roast w/ Vegetables, Mexican Casserole, Beef Stew, Sliced Sausage, Macaroni & Beef or Meatballs, Chicken Tenders.   They also have a great salad bar. So you can see, there is a big variety so everyone should be able to find something that they are able to eat. Let me know if you plan on meeting us so we can arrange a big enough area for everyone. Hope to see everyone soon. Floyd

Vicki, I called the number Floyd had for Ryan's. They will accept the card if there is only 1 or 2 using it for the entire group. Yeah, sounds stupid to me too. I think when I told him that several of us were planning on coming that he was afraid that everyone of us would whip out the card..lol!  Once I got to where I could eat 6-8 oz at a meal, I quit asking if they accepted it. Until then though...it never hurts to ask. Sherri

You all can count Andy and I in.  We are looking forward to coming.  Andy is on days the next two weeks so we can actually do something with other humans...LOL.  It will be so great to be able to do something besides go to walmart at 3am.... Pamela

Floyd, Bill & I will probably be there! I love it that they usually have a wide selection of veggies to choose from instead of just peas & corn!

YOU CAN DEPENDING ON HOW FAR YOU ARE OUT AND AS LONG AS YOU ARE CAREFUL WHAT YOU EAT AND STICK TO WHAT IS ON YOUR LIST. SOME PLACES TAKE A FOOD CARD THAT YOU WILL GET DURING YOUR NUT CLASS. ITS A DISCOUNT FOOD CARD AND YOU JUST HAVE TO ASK IF THEY TAKE IT. LIKE FOR CHINESE WE GO TO THE SOUTH SIDE AND THEY GAVE ME A CARD THAT I ONLY PAY FOR A KIDS MEAL ( $6) SOME ARE LESS AND SOME PLACES DONT TAKE IT AT ALL.  YOU JUST HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFUL AS TO WHAT YOU EAT AND HOWS ITS MADE. Jenny, I have preferred Buffets every since I was about 3 months post-op. My pouch to this day can be very picky. At least at buffets, if what 'sounds good' and what 'is pouch-good' is two different things, I don't feel bad at all for leaving the 'sounds good' on my plate for the server and go get a 'is pouch-good'. You just have to remember that post-op, 'all you can eat' means 'only as much as you are to eat' as well as what is ok for a post-op to eat. Sherri
