Saturday... Well we got the kiddos this weekend. We all needed some cheering up with this past week being so stressful with the funeral and all that. My mom is taking care of them but I get to play with them without the diaper changing and all! Fun eh I am still having pain when I take a deep breath, I hope this gets better soon. They did a chest/belly CT at the ER on Wednesday and also diagnosed me with Atelectasis (which is a small lung collapse basically except it was just explained to me that my lung had shrunk) the ER doc said that this was caused by me being sooo dehydrated the fluid around my lung was soo low it doesn't do something properly (i don't remember lol i was on morphine). This is the cause of my lower o2 sats (they been hovering in the low 90s-95 only went over 95 once the whole time in the hospital) lately as well. I guess this is something that can happen after any surgery especially abdominal surgery which is why they stress using the Incentive Spirometer (so listen up PREOPS use your IS). I have used it still a couple times a day (was told I didnt have to use it after 2 weeks). This is apparently whats been causing all my pain in my chest when I take a deep breath.

I have been using the IS more. The thing is they didn't even mention me using it in the hospital this past time. The ER doc just told me it was because I was dehydrated. I am 4.5 weeks out soooo I had cut back using it. My score is like 1000 now soo it's down a bit :| I've been wondering why it seems I'm using my inhaler and the nebulizer a lot more but apparently its not soo much the asthma.
