Good morning...from Ohio!

Good morning everyone! We'll be heading home in a little bit but I wanted to drop you all a quick note. We are staying at the Wapakoneta KOA...and the WIFI is working this time. Hope...Debbie & John said to tell you & Peter hi for them. As with all vacations...and as it should be, we enjoyed ourselves, but we'll be glad to get home. Home...our waterbed...our hot tub....our big shower with grea****er pressure. Yes, it will be good to be home. lol. You all have a really good day. The temps should be excellent for some walking! huggs!! Sherri

Wow since the loss of 100+ lbs our waterbed is uncomfortable now.  Did you have yours before?

Eluca, Yes, we've had ours all along. It's a 85% motionless so it's not the full wave type. Maybe that is why I am SO looking forward to a good night sleep in it tonight. The only time I had problems with it was right after I had my RNY (and my revision and my hernia repair). I think that discomfort had alot to do with the drainage tube...which makes me wonder where I'm going to sleep with the plastics with 3 drains...... Sherri

Hi Sherri! Glad to see you on here! Good to hear that the vacation was fun. Coming home is always good too, when on vacation. I don't know about Ohio, but the temps here in West Central Indiana are just beautiful today. 

Linda, We had terrific weather for our trip. It was a little windy Wednesday night/Thursday morning when we left Cedar Point but we missed all the rain, there and here. I'm glad it cooled off a little bit here. I love hot weather but in Indiana, 80's is hot enough! More than that, you get the humidity kicking in too. Sherri

I hope you got your new larger RV for this trip.  You've been on the raod for a while now.  You'll have to give us the higlights of your travels.  We decided to take a trial run with the camper this weekend. I was able to get a spot at the last min at Hope's KOA.  I was off today so I loaded up and drove up here by myself. DH will be up later today, he had some work he "had" to do. So far everything is goin fine.  I got parked, hooked up the electric, and water.  Pulled out the awning and set up our capm chairs and tables.  They are having  a hawian theme weekend and are giving prizes for decorated sites.  I went to dollar general and got some tiki torches for .75 and a couple of Parrott whirlly gigs to hang from the awning.  Not much but what the heck it is something.  I also about put my MIL into heart failure when I told her I went to goodwill and bought a hawain shirt to wear.  She felt better about it when I showed it to her.  I found a whole outfit that matched. for $5.00.  (Got it on a Wed when all clothing was 1/2 off)  The shirt and tee are Jones New York and look like new.  The shorts (size 14, yeah) are just as nice.   I've only gone to goodwill a couple of times and never been able to find anthing I wanted or that would fit.  I was so shocked when I was abel to go in and find this outfit in a matter of minutes  from 3 different racks and it worked so well.  guess it was ment to be.  Hope you have a safe trip home Sherri and everyone else has a wonderfull Labor day weekend.

Jan, Shhh....you're gonna make the rest of us girls look bad! You didn't leave anything for your other half to do. Well...hook up the black water line I guess. We kinda divide up the tasks (unevenly, of course). He loads up tools he wants, his clothes and anything I box up to go out there he brings out there. Me, I have my clothes and all the groceries to get together. Then I do all the driving (with his eyesight, better that way for all on the road!). When we get to the site, he hooks up the electric, water, and sewer. I either open the windows or get the air going (depending on temp), set up the front blinds, get out the camp chairs & table, put on the picinc table cloth, open the slider, pull out all the small awnings (4). We both do the big awning and then I put on the awning lights. Of course, I also do most of the cooking. Back at home, I load up, he carries in, I unload...except laundry and 'his' stuff. That, he will act like he knows what to do with it. A carton of milk though??? We did have the larger RV and it handled like a dream. I was able to drive right up aside the big boys and not have an ounce of problems. I am just amazed at how much better she handles.  Naturally, the highlight of the trip was Cedar Point...but not for the roller coasters, but for Lake Erie. It was really cool watching ships pass through. In the evenings, it was really romantic to be out on the dock. We did have an amusing moment on a coaster though. It was on the wooden Mean Streak. We discovered just  how much I REALLY NEED my breast lift when a 'wardrobe malfunction' occurred! LOL! Wouldn't you know it, that day, the darn camera was broken!!! LOL! Sherri

GOOD AFTERNOON EVERYONE! WHEW, WHAT A BUSY DAY! I TELL YOU- I HAVE HAD MORE ENERGY FROM THE PREDNIZONE THAN I'VE HAD IN MONTHS- IN FACT, I'M HAVING A TERRIBLE TIME SLEEPING! THE PLUS++++ IS+++ I HAVE CLEANED 2 ROOMS TOP TO BOTTOM!! THE DOWN SIDE IS- THE MEDS. HAVE MADE MY CALVES SWELL- ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT. I DID GET IN A 45 MIN. WALK THE PAST 2 DAYS- A COUPLE OF TIMES I WAS ABLE TO "POWER WALK" ATLEAST AS FAST AS MY LITTLE LEGS COULD CARRY ME- THE PROBLEM IS THE HUMIDITY IS ROUGH TO BREATHE IN- SO I WENT TO A SUPER WALMART & RACED DOWN THE AISLES & CIRCUMFRENCE. NO, I DIDN'T RUN OVER ANYONE!!!    MY DAUGHTERS & FAMILIES ARE ALL GOING TO BE HERE FOR SLUNCH TOMORROW- ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY-HAHA! I AM DOING ALL THE "OLD FAVORITES" & A FEW "NEW TWISTS". ( SO, THE KOOLAID HAS SPLENDA IN IT- SHHHHH!!!    WE SPENT THE BETTER PART OF THE MORNING AT ST.V'S WOMANS MED.CENTER SO THAT AMY COULD HAVE A GROWTH CHECK ULTRASOUND ON THE BABIES - THEY ARE 2#14OZ. & HEAD UP -BOTTOME DOWN, SO IT LOOKS LIKE A C-SECTION FOR SURE. THE DR. SAID THE GIRLS HEAD IS ALITTLE SMALL, BUT THAT MOST GIRLS ARE, SO NOT TO WORRY! SHE HAS HER FEET TOUCHING HER HEAD & HER ARM ACROSS HER FACE- SHE IS ALREADY A NATURAL GYMNIST! THEY ARE HOPING FOR 5 MORE WEEKS OF GESTATION BEFORE THEY DECIDE ON DATE, ETC. THEY WANT THEM AT 5# EA. SO,THEY ARE MONERTERING HER EVERY 2 WEEKS NOW. SHERRI- NO MATTER HOW FAR OR LONG WE ROAM-THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME! I HOPE YOU REALLY ENJOYED YOUR FIRST OUTING IN YOUR NEW "HOME AWAY FROM HOME". JAN- TELL HOPE & PETER HELLO- I KNOW YOU WILL ENJOY YOURSELF- THEY ARE SUCH A FUN BUNCH! YOU SOUND LIKE A "PRO" ALREADY WITH THE CAMPER- GOOD FOR YOU!! LINDA- ANY NEWS ON THE HOUSE DEAL YET? STILL KEEPING MY FINGERS,TOES, LEGS CROSSED FOR YOU! MISTY- SO GLAD THEY HELPED YOU- PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH THAT INFECTION- BELIEVE ME, I KNOW HOW FAST IT CAN SPREAD THRU YOU!!!! Gosh, all this talk about camping makes me wish I could go. I haven't camped in about 25 years!!! I wouldn't know where in the world to begin to get the stuff to go camping! LOL  My girls would love it tho! Maybe I could talk DH into buying us a tent and put it up outside for me. I doubt if the girls would sleep in there with me, but you never know! LOL
