I got to come home last night after a Tuesday afternoon surgery.  I was in some pain when they first moved me to my room after recovery so I missed visiting with Floyd and Brenda.   They had a nice visit with my Mom and Wife while I drifted from the nice dose of painkiller I was given. Thanks for the gifts!  That was a completely unexpected treat.   After that initial adjustment of my pain medicine dose I never experienced more than some soreness when I moved.  I just cannot say enough about how competent, professional, kind and supportive the staff of St. V's is.  From the nurses and technicians to the man who emptied the trash everyone did their job and made time for a smile or encouraging comment when I was in the hall walking.  I walked a lot.  The more I walked the better I felt, the better I rested, and the quicker time pasted.  I would really like to thank everyone on this board.  There has been so much here that has inspired me and touched my heart.  Best Wishes! Glad to hear everything went great for you Jeff, I would have to agree on the people at St. V's, The ones that I did get to meet were wonderful. I work for St. V's but on 86th and I even think that the people at carmel are even more pleasant then where I work, cant wait to meet the rest of them.  Keep us updated on your progress

Jeff, Glad to hear you are now home and doing well.  It was a real pleasure meeting you, your wife and mom.  Look forward to seeing you again sometime in the future.  This board has different functions and we hope to see you at one soon.  Don't forget the ornament exchange at our house in December.  Take care and keep in touch.
