I QUIT SMOKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have stopped smoking cigarettes for good this time. I wont pick it back up... I have went all day without one... Thank god for anxiety medecine and smoking medecine!!!! I wont pick them back up especially since I know I cant smoke tobacco and have surgery... The other question I have is for my friend. She is going for her dietician class and was wondering if she quits (which she actually quit 2 weeks ago) smoking pot how long after can she pass the blood test they give before they give surgery. That is part of her insurance qualifications that they want something from the PCP proving Alcohol, tobacco, and drug test. She was just wondering and I have no clue about drugs or the test....
Depends on how often she smokes it. Usually it takes a month to get out of your system and you need ot drink a lot of water... but that's for a urine test I have no idea for a blood test how long it's in your blood but I believe that it leaves your blood faster than urine since it's fat soluble. Tell her to look it up on the internet... I had to look it up once but that was a long time ago

hi there---i know ciggs can show up in your system 6 weeks and pot is about 3 weeks and yes they do blood test because i just recieved my bill and for nicotine it says assay of nicotine--i dont think they did a drug test on me it didnt say that on my bill---but the charged 103.00 for the nicotine i quit 5 months--i started back 2 week ago why i donno im gonna blame in on being depressed and over whelmed but i know i can quit i did it before ------i will probly quit again once i get adapted to this new change because i actually hate ciggs-now---i know smoking pot is bad 4 ya but i used to be a smoker and quit that and thats 1 habit im not going back to ever~~~~~~~~~ive had plently of opportunitys since surgery and i said NO i like being drug free--because now when i start feeling better im going to go get a good job and be some one for once--but first i gotta feel better because i been so dehydrated i had to go last 2 nights for fluids they gave me 2 bags tue-and 2 bags wed-i feel some what better physically but still on that emotional roller coaster----i ate alot of the wintogreen hard candies when i quit smoking hell id eat a bag a day lol i tried chantix the pill but it made me real sick so i quit cold turkey------so dont give in go get u a bag of candy each time u wanna smoke eat a piece of candy----good luck
GOOD FOR YOU!
I MAY SAY SOMETHING THAT OFFENDS SOMEONE BUT- SMOKING WILL TEAR UP YOUR NEW POUCH AND CAUSE BLEEDING ULCERS PLUS MANY OTHER COMPLICATIONS- SO DON'T DO IT!
I PERSONALLY KNOW SOMEONE WHO TOOK UP SMOKING AFTER QUITTING TO HAVE SURGERY & SHE HAS BEEN OPERATED ON 4 TIMES NOW- AND IS ON OXYGEN!!!

IT ISN'T WORTH IT!!!
PLEASE, FOR YOUR OWN HEALTH- STOP & STAY STOPPED.
BIG KUDOS TO YOU & ALL THOSE ON HERE WHO DO STOP- IT IS SO WORTH IT!!

I quit 13 years ago the year my mom was diagnosed with Lung cancer... They removed half her lung and she died anyway a year later. My WLS was 2.5 years ago and I couldnt be happier.. I am smoke free and food free.gives me so much time to do the things I want to do.. I dopn't have to waste my break walking out to the street to have a quick smoke.. I can get up right after a meal and wash the dishes...
As for the pot...she aught to give it up anyway... who wants to ignore reality???
