My follow up with Dr Cacucci...

I went to Dr Cacucci yesterday and it looks like theyve been giving me tooooooooo many calories in my TPN which is why I'm stalled out, I'm only supposed to have like 800 calories daily and theyre giving me 1285 non protein calories.. Sooo my surgeon is changing the TPN formula to a bariatric friendly one. Sooo I have like 5-10 lbs water weight,  when that comes off I should be about 40 lbs down since surgery (today is 4 weeks out) soo we will see. She told me to not worry soo much about getting food in and not to force my fluids to the point of vomiting any longer. If I can only get 20 oz a day so be it for now thats why I'm getting the TPN. Sooo we will see what happens when I go back in 2 more weeks. I'm soo tired of vomiting and feeling sick to my stomach though. The doc gave me some phenergan to take when I get nauseated again after the Zofram since I have to wait atleast 6-8 hours for it. We've had a lot going on which is why I didn't post my update yesterday...  Today I wore an outfit I haven't been able to fit into for almost a year and it actually fit decently!!!

Misty, Glad to hear that you had a successful appointment with the doctor.  Sounds like you are doing good.  Congratulations on that "new" outfit.  Take care. Floyd

Hey Misty!  You were at Dr C's yesterday?  So was I, in the afternoon, for my first follow/up post-surgery. Sorry you're having such an upset stomach.  I've been having gas something fierce, and... well... let's just say I'm REALLY loose, IYKWIM.    Dr. C says maybe I've become lactose-intolerant, so I've switched to soy milk and soy protein, at least temporarily. If I am, that kinda stinks, because I LIKE milk.  Ah well... Congrats on fitting in the new (again) threads! 

I was at Dr C's my appointment was at 2:40 :) Soo chances are if you were there around that time I was there. Dr Cacucci mentioned that I'm her first patient in years to have the Chronic nausea/vomiting for "no damn good reason" she doesn't think my ulcer is the sole cause of it or making things as bad as they are.
