Every since I quit smoking

OMG all I want to do is eat. Food just taste so much better. I guess it is a good thing that I havent had the surgery yet. It will be 1 month this Thurs. that I havent had a cig.   It has been a lot easier then I thought.  I think it is because I know I have a test to pass and I want the surgery so bad that I am not willing to ruin the chances of that.   Also finally got my approval letter faxed to me from my insurance company today and faxed it right over to Dr. Gupta's office today.  Can anyone tell me how long to expect before they call me with a date? I am also trying to quit smoking before surgery... I started medecine a couple of days ago... I am excited you got your date set up... Well good luck!!!

yea when i quit smoking---i gainned 20 pounds~~~~~~~it wasnt that hard to quit i ate alot of the wintogreen lifesaver candy---although i started smoking again 2 week after surgery i donno why i quit for 5 months guess i was depressed because i couldnt eat or drink pop no more so i started back but atleast now i no i can quit if i want too----

Hey gal ~ Conrats on the letter....call them for the date.. I talked with Nicole...doc huse's asst. when I got the approval...she said looked like end of Sept for my kind of surgery....open RNY soooooo call them up and find out.  On the smoking thing...hang in there..I gained 8 pounds in one month....so I started eating Crystal Light SF hard candies...they are great! Walmart is the cheapest I have found them...and now that I am 2 1/2 months smoke free..I don't even want to eat to satisfy that need. Janene
