Insurance Question ?

I was just wondering if anyone has Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois for their insurance? If so did you have any problems getting approved. Ours picks up on the 28th so I have to call and see if they even cover WLS. I'm sure hoping so. Ive had a heck of a time trying to get this surgery. He had a wonderful job in Illinois and got laid off back in April, and has since started working here in Indiana. So I have to TRY and start everything over again. Please keep your fingers crossed for me, any and all info will be much apprecatied (SP) .

I have BCBS/IL. they do cover wls. however it would depend on the policy your employer chose. make sure there is no exclusion.If it does cover for you then make sure you know the requirements. They want a 6 month diet,5 years history of obesity,bmi over 40 or a bmi of 35 w/two co-morbids,a psych eval,and nutrit eval. I submit next month. I have posted questions about this insurance and they seem to be TOUGH! check the IL board and the insurance board too. let me know if u have any more questions.
