Well I go to St V on Wed of next week...I have everything my insurance is requeasting (second time around) this includes...five years of obesity +, supervised weight loss for maximum requirement of six months, nutrition counsling for five months (not required) (did on my own), BMI of 40 or higher (45.3), physician approval, and pysc eval (im not so nuts after all:)...so st v 's said that after the seminar I can give them all my paper work and they will send it off asap...I am now getting scared that they are going to again ask for more....has this happened to many...and then after giving them everything have they denied you??? They said I would qualify except at the time I didnt have supervised weight loss...now I do...I am just second guessing myself...What more could they possibly ask for???any ideas? Thanx  Lisa

It sounds like you have all the bases covered.  I'm praying for a quick approval process for you.

If the insurance company questions your paperwork, ask them what it is they don't get or you need to get them. My insurance company denied me the first time. I called them back, not understanding why... because I had done everything they wanted. She said that on my medical files it didn't show a doctor's supervised weight loss attempt. I told her... yes it does, look again. She did and told me it only showed my weigh in's, not the weight loss drug the doctor perscribed me. I told her the doc, wrote a perscription every month. It was a controled substance so they couldn't just give me a continual refill. I had to go in every month and get a new persecription. Anywhoo... they ended up researching the pharamacy bills and saw that they had indeed been billed by CVS, and various other drug stores for that pill and I had of course covered my co-pay. I was approved over the phone and then got a letter from them, as did my surgeon. So, if they turn you down, found out in as much detail as you can....why and maybe, just maybe they'll be the ones that overlook something.

hang in there gal!  like the other gals have said...sometimes its in the wording and don't let them toss you under the carpet...stay on them.

Lord, keep me in your will so I won't be in your way.

You sound really prepared. It depends on the insurance company how hard of a  time you get, it seems like. Good luck for a quick and pain-less approval!
