Oh Bother,   I have a had a very nasty virus for the past week & finally am feeling better, then yesturday my  incision area opened up and IT'S INFECTED AGAIN- PLUS BLISTERY, AND THERE ARE SEVERAL PLACES THAT ARE ANGRY RED. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS- THE SURGERY WAS TO CLEAR ALL OF THIS UP!! I go see Dr. Inman on Thurs. unless anything changes- then must call her right away. Please keep me in your thoughts that I don't have to go in again for another surgery. I don't mean to sound like a needy baby, just am getting so frustrated & tired of all of this.  I did get a talking to about not going to the emergency room when I was so sick with the virus- what, I was told not to- of course by my PCP. Thankfully I am over that- now just ready for better days ahead.   Thanks everyone for listening- just needed to vent alittle. (((hugs))) Ellen

Awww. You don't sound like a baby.  I'd whine also.  Have they cultured this infection to see what it is growing?  Heaven forbid it is one of the antibiotic resistant strains, but unless they do a culture and sensitivity testing they wont know.  It may just be a strain of bacteria that is resistant to what you have been taking.  I'd ask about it.   Hope you get this thing whiped soon.

I don't know what they did during my surgery & recovery, but I was on one of the most powerful antibiotics before surgery- it is SUPPOSE to be one of the new drugs that do work! Now I am anxious to find out exactly WHAT is going on! Thanks everyone, you are such great friends & support!! (((hugs))) Ellen
