It Saturday...Whatcha doing????

Well folks...abit of woo-hoo news first...the Friday before the camp-out, I was 176...today? 172!!  L-O-V-E   I-T!!! I hope you're feeling better today Ellen!  We're going to go window-shopping at RV's. Bill is talking about getting a bigger, newer one. I'm wanting to test drive an 'A' class to see if I think I can handle it. I'm sure it probably handles a little differently than the 'C' class. I'm sure he has things in his mind that he would like to improve on ours with. For myself, I want more counter space! Ellen...I just loved your counter space!!' Jan..we still haven't decided about tonight. If we come, we'll probably throw a sleeping bag in the back of my Durango and sleep in it and then drive home in the morning..if you don't mind us being parked in your drive all night. Hi all! Happy Saturday. I was feeling sick last night, and missed my shift at Sears. I had thrown up a couple of times during the day, and felt like I had a fever. Slept from like 6:30pm last night until about 8am this morning, and I am feeling better today. Today I have to take one of the dogs to the vet. He has an ucky rash. Then I have to work at Sears tonight. So not too much interesting going on here.  Wednesday is my daughter Maggie's 4th birthday! So we're excited about that. Her party is actually Saturday. It's going to be at Hawthorn Park here in Terre Haute. We have it at the Dogwood Shelter every year. This year she picked My Little Ponies as the theme. So we'll be decorating in pink horses. 

Well ladies and gents... I know most of you didn't know this but today is the wedding of the century.. My sister's wedding is today and you would think that Princess Di was getting married all over again... At the rehearsal dinner last night she was telling everyone how I didn't want to be in the wedding (truth: she said she didn't want to put me in the wedding because I was having surgery and it would be too hard to get me a dress) vanessa's truth: I said I didn't want to be in the wedding and she's glad now because it would've been too hard to find a dress. My sister and mother have their own little realities that they live in... So this wedding should be interesting to say the least. My sister and I almost got into a fist fight earlier this week because she said I was acting like my mom when she's a mini me of my mother, but luckily my dad was there to stop it or she'd be getting married today with a black eye... Yesterday at the rehearsal dinner, (which she insisted I was at even though I'm not in the wedding) she started mouthing and my husband had to pull me away before I went off... As I'm sure most of you realize I'm not one to keep my mouth shut when I have something to say. I just pray that this day is over already... I have to do a brides maid hair and my own and my husband is video taping so at least we get to sit up in the balcony away from everyone.... Too bad I'm going to look better than the bride... I'll be sure and post pics...

Jess, Your new avatar is HOT!! Way to go girl! Boy..it seems like alot of us have real *%$&% for family members! Hmmmm....makes me wonder if alot of our weight issues hadn't started with THEM in the first place!  Whatever you do, DO NOT hit your sister on her wedding day no matter how much she may deserve it! Be a better person than she is. You do have an option...leave. Don't give her the satisfaction of getting you that upset. Trust me, the day of court when Cindy showed her butt in the parking lot, I would have loved to have yanked Cindy out of her van and beat the crap out of her (since she was obviously so underspanked as a child!!) but it is best that I didn't in so many ways. It will be better for you also if you just walk away. BTW, there is no law that says that you HAVE to have any by-blood family members involved in your life (or you involved in theirs). I have my husband (and his family..they're ok), my kids, my grandkids. As far as I'm concerned, I was an orphaned only child. Life is so much simpler that way! Huggs... Sherri

Happy happy saturday...well i guess i'm on a stall...because i haven't lost any weight in 4 days...maybe that means i'm in for a big loss this week :) lol...i know i'm not getting all my liquids or protein in, and that's probably it....i'm trying really hard though....just not enough hours in the day and enough room in my baby pouch.... i booked another wedding today which is nice...it's not until next may....but still it's booked... i'm tired....so what else is new??? LOL and i have a million and one things to do around here....just wanted to pop in and say hello to everyone and wish you all a wonderful weekend!!!!!!!!!!! hugs jen

Hi there,  Well, here it is after 6pm. and I'm FINALLY posting!!!!  ***ALOT has been going on since yesturday!!! As you know. we moved my daughter, SIL, & grandkids to Fla.- well the call came in last night & THEY ARE COMING HOME!! Things didn't work out down there ( they have a freeze on Government hiring for 6-12 mo. so NO jobs for Mike after grad.) their house sold- BUt the Realtor messed up the figures & THEY HAVE TO COME UP WITH THE DOWNPAYMENT/CLOSING COSTS FOR THE NEW BUYERS!!!!!OMG, if they don't follow thru with the sale they will be sued!!!( Penny is a Paralegal & her best friend is a Lawyer- & there is no way out of this barring a very COSTLY$$$$$ lawsuit!!!) So they will be on the road Sun./Mon. & hopefully home by Tues. sometime. Please send some extra thoughts & prayers up for them- this has really put them in a horrible financial bind, & he is feeling like a total failure.They will recover form this eventualy, now just have to find jobs, get Jax in school,etc.etc.etc.They did find a 3 bedroom apt. in the complex the lived in 10 yrs. ago they can get into next Sat. - thank the Lord. Noting fancy- but clean & close to Penny's job- which she has gotten back!!! Mike will have to "hit the bricks" when they get moved - he's been in government jobs for yrs. -so I really hope he can find something in his field quickly.*** My back is killing me- at first I thought it was from all of the coughing I've done the past 2 days- now it feels like someone is stabbing me in the back- I've  probably pulled a muscle.I've had a terrible time sleeping ( having to sit upright) & woke up at 6 am. & got on the heating pad. I smell awful from all of the ICY HOT Dana has put on my back & side, but it does, plus 2 ex. strength Tylnoal.We went to the grocery- out of just about everything & I lasted about long enough to get thru 2 stores & that was it- I felt like a big Mac truck had hit me! So here I am on the heating pad again resting.Thankfully I wrote a list- Dana had to help me at the end. I started coughing like mad. Luckly I'd brought 2 bottles of water and a SF cough drop. Jen,  Girl, your sister doesn't hold a candle to you!!! Let her be the "drama queen", you are better than her as far as I'm concerned!!! Sure seems like when we get healthy  SOMEour families disfunction  just pours out of them- trying to suck us into it/back! NOT!!! WE ARE BETTER PEOPLE THAN THAT- like Sherri's motto- "to thy own self be true" and mine "get over your bad self" &" save the drama for your Momma or someone that cares." Jan, hope your party is a blast- I know you've worked hard for this weekend- so enjoy it!!!! Sherri- Did you check out Camper World? Dana did while the refridge was being repaired & saw several 5th wheels and drivables he really liked. Thank goodness I WASN'T THERE, or we'd be in big trouble- although I love out pull behind & am not ready to trade- but could get "swayed" pretty easily!!(More outside storage, floor space, all that good stuff!!)Hope you find something you really like & can handle!!! Oh yeah- love camping- & you can handle it gal!! Girlfriend, you are doing fantastic-4#- I'm so happy for you!!!! Linda, hope you didn't get the "bug" that bit me!So far, no one here has, so I'm thinking part of it is my low immune system due to just having surgery. Hey everyone... I just wanted to say hey and try to meet everyone... Sounds like eveyone on here has a busy life to say the least! I think I will fit right in! So, now since everyone knows what they were gonna do how did it turn out? My day went GREAT! Best time I have had with my family in a long time... No argueing between the family was the best... Usually someone starts something, but I think I can officically say this was the first time it has been a good day with family in OVER A YEAR!!! Well, everyone have a GREAT NIGHT!!! Maybe I can talk with some of you one day soon!

Megan, Welcome! Glad to see you posting! That is the best way to get to know some of us. Oh...and coming to our get-togethers...which we do fairly often. My day..we saw some beautiful RV's and are really thinking about trading in on one. It's a 99 Newmar Dutch Star, 35' with one slider, an A class. We now have a 27' Jayco, 91, C class. We just have to determine if we can afford the $...which, the price isn't bad, our wallets just aren't big. I'm glad things turned out good with your family yesterday. You'll find that on here, we have alot of dysfunction in our families (mine, big time D!). Sherri
