Good morning all. Boy, could I use more !! I guess it was the nervous energy from my day yesterday, but I just could not settle down and sleep! Ah well, I should sleep well tonight then, right? It's good to see the new faces on here! Woo-hoo! The suggestion came up on my SparkPeople.com team (Indy Losers) for us to have a picnic or something before the summer gets overwith. I thought before I tried to arrange that, I would invite you all to join the team so that you can be invited to the picnic as well. I started the team ~2-3 months ago and we already have over 300 members! I think that is just amazing! So...you are welcome to join. You may also get alot of benefit from the site itself as well! Have a peachy day everyone! Sherri

I keep thinking that I will sit around and get some real rest every day....and every day something comes up that keeps me busy.  I think if I'm going to get any real rest I'm gonna have to go back to work.  That is the one advantage of being a state employee  LOL. I'm loving all the new faces here!  This is great!  I can't wait to meet them all in person. A picnic???   I'm always up for a party.   I'm thinking about Christmas already...I wonder if y'all would be interested in coming to my house for a Christmas get-together or maybe a New Year = New You party.

Annette, Floyd & Brenda graciously offered to host the Christmas Ornament Exchange get-together this year. I know they are both looking forward to it still. I think the idea of a New Year's one would be great! Danville isn't that far away either.

Have you joined SparkPeople yet? Have you joined the Indy Losers team yet? Join, so I can make it an open invitation on there. I'll see what I can do to find a good picnic spot. Sherri

Resting is not a problem for me these days. Still on bed rest orders and bored out of my mind. I've been doing a lot of word search books. I go through a thick one about every three days. I've seen just about every episode of A Baby Story on TLC. I miss moving. As in exercise. I miss jogging. I miss running. I miss going out and just being able to go to the store. I'm allowed 30 mins per day of "outside time". It's not that I'm at risk of endangering myself or the baby that I'm on bed rest. I have no stomach muscle from being obese for so long to hold Quinntin correctly and so he pushes and puts a lot of painful pressure on my cervic. And since I have cervical cancer, the pressure also causes me to spot a little. Both my specialist OB and my regular OB have said that bed rest is the best option at this point to keep me comfortable and to keep anything dangerously drastic from happening. Since I'm one of those better safe then sorry kinda people - I'm taking thier bed rest orders pretty serious. I've waited 12 years for this lil one and I want to be safe enough for him to be healthy. A summer get together would be awesome. Unforunately - I doubt I'll be able to attend. I have 6 weeks till my due date. I'll end up sitting at home, missing all the fun of meeting everyone, being a big emotional baby and cryin` about it. I miss you all so much. But gosh Sherri, over 300 members!! How awesome!!!!!!!!!!! I'll probably join after Quinntin is born. I've enjoyed seeing some of the new faces on here too. It's always great to share our own experiences with WLS, since there is a various selection of procedures, and helping others out on their journey. As always - I'm always available for banding info. Well - I've ranted enough (see how bored I am, hahahaha!!!!!) I hope everyone has a good week. Jodi

Ellen, I'm glad you're feeling better! I'm glad it was just a 24 hour thing. Don't you just love Camper World? I could fill up a cart (or two) easily! I didn't know you guys were having trouble with your fridge. Ours isn't in danger of catching fire but I don't think it keeps things as cold as it should...no matter how level the RV is. Bill was talking about having it replaced this winter but since he's now talking about us checking out the 'A's', we'll probably get a new one that way...lol. We do plan on checking out the RV's they have there. It looked like they had a bunch of them to choose from! Now, THAT is shopping! Sherri ps...Got my hair all trimmed up yesterday....

Sherri, I don't know what type of refridge you have, but there has been a recall on the Domestic brand- models made from 1995-2003. I know we got the info from our monthy book form bring in the Good Sams Club. We called Camper World, & they asked for the Id numbers in the fridge- & checked it for us. Sure enough, ours was one. You might check it out.     Oh, Dana has talked about going back up to Middlebury & going on the tours sometime in the next few weeks, if we can. I'll let you know. I know Hope said she had a busy time right now, so might wait till after Labor Day. It is during the week- if I remember what she said. I bet your cut 's cute- I'm ready for mine & my brows getting done- I hate the "uni-brow look"HA~HA!!! (((hugs))) Ellen

Well I am just sitting here waiting for my baby to get home from school.  His firt day of kindergarten and I cried like a baby when he went and got on the school bus this morning.  He was so excited but I was not.  I wanted to take him to school but he would not hear of it.  He wanted to ride the bus and didn't want mom anywhere near the school.  My baby is not a baby anymore.  Anyway enough about the mommyblues.  I hope everyone is having a great day. Hi guys...how is everyone? :) I'm doing pretty good today...I am getting better with my protein and pills and I'm getting some energy back. Today it's been 13 days since surgery, so 2 wks tomorrow...I'm doing probably as good as I expected by now.... I have lost 20lbs in 13 days, so I'm happy about that...I still haven't done any walking outside of the house...my aunt brought me her treadmill, but it's not an electric one, and I just can't work it right, so when my mom comes back from vacation on sunday i'm going to borrow hers...until then just sipping, walking and living! :)

Hope you guys have a great wednesday...hugs

Jen, Glad to see you are doing good.  Hopefully the weather will cool down soon so we can walk outside.  Keep up the good work and keep in touch. Floyd
