Thanks for all of your thoughts & well-wishes! I saw Dr. Inman today - she removed the drain tube & a stitch, & said " you had a mass in there & it was ok- no cancer or anything. It looked like a oyster & there was alot of scar tissue I removed,- so you should feel alot better now. "BTW- you look wonderful & I am so proud of you. You've lost 22 INCHES IN YOUR WAIST ~since surgery!!!!!" Plus, another 3 # since last Tues.! My waist is 361/2 inches- I've never been this small!!!! I had no idea since I haven't measured myself in 10 months!!!Oh my gosh, I was feeling like I walked on clouds!! The are having everyone's waist measurements done now- 3,6,9,12 & 24 + months- it's a new ruling by the  National Medical Board that reviews Bariatric patients. I'm to take it easy & let my tummy finish healing. I can drive & do light activities now, I am anxious to get back to my walking!- woo~hoo!!! ((((hugs)))) Ellen

Ellen, I'm SO happy for you! I know you feel 100% better. So..wasn't that terrible, was it?  After reading your post, I had to go measure my waist. I had started off at 62". The last time I measured was in "06..I had lost an inch since then even though my weight has been pretty much stable. Total, I'm at a 26" loss at 36". My total lost from all places measured in "06 was 109.25"...so I know I've cleared 110" gone! I'm not going to do the full measuring again till right before plastics...and then again after the swelling is gone for the most part. Continue healing sweetie! Sherri

Congratulations Ellen!  I am drain free also now.  Yippee!!!!  I was really beginning to hate my "little friend."  Did you know about the mass?   It sounds just like Dr,. Inman to not say anything to you until she knew the prognosis.   She really does hate for anyone to worry unnecessarily.  That's what she told me when she let me know she was taking my "badly diseased" gallbladder out when she did my RNY.  She said that telling me earlier wouldn't have changed anything and would only had me worrying for no reason.  She is such a trip!!! Glad you're feeling better.
