my son says mom how did u get fat?

boy was i ever speachless when while watching the big medicine show with my 9 yr old son he looks at me and says innocently mom~ how did u get fat? by dorritos? lol i said yes by dorritos and cereal and cookies and lack of self control ~~~depression ~~~~~~he said well after surgery will u go swimming with us and do other things with us? i said yes son defintly i plan on making up for all the lost time with you kids and even getting on the roller coasters lol~~im so thankfull dr evanson is giving me my surgery not only for me but for my kids too ~~i want them to enjoy the remaining childood years they have with there proud mother in there memories ~~~~~~i want them to remember me as fun and active and happy and sociable and full of life as to where the only memories ive gaven them r no i dont feel good maybe tommorrow ill play no i cant go swimming im to fat no i dont want to go to school outings because i dont like myself im misreble i want and will replace all those memories with ones they will cherich 4 ever and ever!!!!!!!!im excited to begin the new life aug 8th~~~~~~~~

Those are things I am looking forward to as well. I love to swim, but I dont dare to be caught in a bathing suit now.  My poor kids have been deprived of so much because of me.   I dont yet have a date I had to change doctors, my insurance has been submitted so hopefully soon I can get a date. hi there! why did u have to change dr? who was your dr and who is your dr now? i began my process in late feb was my consult but i had like a 5 week delay in a date because i went to my psyc first and he didnt do it right so then i had to see dr stote anyhow!  then after that within 2 weeks after seeing him i had a date ~he required me to do a lifestyle class was kind of like the pre op class they make everyone attend~~~~what ins do u have i have medicare a&b so i was automatically approved i have to pay for 600 of the surgery out of pocket~~~~~~~so, where u from? yes i agree we do deprive our kids because we just sinply are obese and are misreble feeling and its time for us to make the change lets give back all weve taken and then some~~~~~~~~how old r urs??? mine are 13-11-9-7 3girls 1 boy the boy is 9 poor kid hahaha well i hope the best on you getting a date!!   your friend-missy

I had to change docs because the one I was going with was Dr Sprunger in Muncie announced he was no longer going to do the RNY.  I really didnt want to do the lap band which he still does, so I just decided to go with Dr. Gupta in Carmel.   I have Anthem insurance...the only thing they require is 6 mos. dr supervised diet, which I have, so they said I shouldnt have any problems being approved.  They should pay 100% of the surgery because my deductible is met and my out of pocket has been met. I am from Albany IN. Just south of you.  I take my daughter to Dr. Dian in Bluffton. She has Tourette Syndrome and he sees kids with TS.  My kids (girls) are 13 & 12.    Nice to meet you! Jenny

please dont think im dumb wat does ur daughter have? im not familiar with that ? are they requiring u to lose weight before surgery? they didnt me - dr dian is awseome i love him!!!! i herd he was retiring soon? have u herd anything on that? albany is over by dunkirk? muncie area? any good support groups u go to in that area? is albany on 67? 13 & 12 fun fun age lol well i better go good meeting u too

I actually think my doctor is in with your doctor. Mine is Dr. Gupta.   I was reading your story on your profile. I too smoke, but I had my PCP give me a prescription for Chantix to help me quit.  How long do you have to be smoke free with Dr. Evanston?

i donno if ur dr is in with mine or not i know dr inman is----well i took chantix for 2 weeks and it really helped the cravings BUT the nausea was someting horrible for me i felt like **** all day long and it happen about 1 hour after taking chantix ---so i quit taking it i couldnt handle feeling sick ---so, then i tried a hypnosis place in muncie well it failed too so then i kinda told myself i had to stop smoking or no surgery cuz they do a nicotine test the day of pre op testing and if u fail no  surgery ---so i ended up quitting march 30 on my own i started eating wintogreen lifesavers 1 after another (i still do too) lol but ive not smoked i did take 1 puff of my hubbys and i about gagged yuckoooo it was even gross tasting-- i wasnt sure how long had to be smoke free so i quit in march and was expecting my surgery date to be in like may but it wasnt till august 8 so i been smoke free 5 months now but i found out u have to be smoke free for atleast 6-8 weeks to pass the test!  how u doing on that ???its real hard i smoked 16 years i loved smoking too - my hubby started smoking outside - but if i can do it any one can only down fall----i did gain 22 pounds since i quit u cant do te patces cuz they just put nicotine in u and that would show up~~~~WELP  guess better get going ttyl
