insurance question

i was laid off from my job last week and yesterday i get my letter of approval from the insurance company !!!!!!! what does this mean  am i screwed ?????/ please help !!!!

IS THERE A CHANCE YOU WILL GET CALLED BACK TO WORK? AND IT ALSO DEPENDS ON WHAT INSURANCE YOU HAVE. I WOULD CALL THE HR DEPARTMENT AND ASK THEM. I KNOW WITH ANTHEM THE APPROVEL IS GOOD FOR ONE YEAR. SORRY I CANT BE MUCH MORE HELP BUT GOOD LUCK VICKI

By law (COBRA) you should have the option to pick up your insurance for up to 18 months after being terminated or layed off. I would check into this. It may be slightly costly, but would be less expensive than paying for surgery! Linda Vicory

check with your job to see if you still have insurance for a month some times yu do and then you can pay cobra till yu get the surgery done...
