Plastic Surgery Update

Happy Friday All!

Just a quick update on my Plastic Surgery Journey......I received my letter (At work) from the surgeons office for my pre-determination for my procedures. I added my own cover letter as to my concerns for these procedures and hand delivered them to the claim adjuster for staff Last Friday Morning. Well....Tuesday afternoon my hubby calls me as says I got a letter approving all my procedures as Medically Necessary! Thanks you Jesus! I was thrilled. The insurance will pay for the panni, the reduction of skin on my breast and a breast augmentation/lift. I will have to pay the difference from a panni to a full tummy tuck, and pay for any implants if I choose to have them. As soon as I get the dollar numbers I will chec into financing and hope to schedule my surgery for the latter part of August. I feel like a kid who got everything they wanted for christmas and more! I was really uncertain about them paying for the breast skin reduction and am thrilled they are. I estimate I will end up having to pay between $2500.00 and $4500.00 towards my surgery. wow, that is fantastic news.  If I thought I got get my insurance to pay I'd be glad to come up with the 4500.00.  Do you know what criteria they need to deem it medically necessary.  I'm just courious if I have what it would take.  I have a lot of sagging skin but so far no problems with it other than it being ugly.  Does it take long to get into them for a consultation? E-mail me if you don't want to post on here. I'd atleast like to get the panni and breast lift.  Possibly my arms also.  You are such a knock out now. Watch out world. 

Jan, They get you in fairly quickly. They could have seen me sooner but I was going on vacation. It is medically necessary if you have had problems with rashes or skin infections from the skin on skin. I work very hard to keep my skin healthy with powders and creams but to get the skin removed will cure it all. On the panni, any overhang of skin that touches the thighs usually will qualify medically. I never noticed it so much but in the side view pictures it clearly shows the skin touching my thighs. The breast usually is not covered, however my insurance company is the BEST and with my history of melanoma, it can be a health hazzard for me. Good luck Sweetie! Let me know! Hugs! Marianne
