Finally!!!

Today is the day folks! Keep me in your thoughts this afternoon..k? It's court date. I am SO ready to get this overwith!! I believe my ducks are all in a row. At least, I have everything together that I can anyway. So...say a little prayer that my heart won't beat out of my chest, that my hands won't shake, that my voice won't crack, and that my temper stays in check...k? Knowing my 'dear' sister, I'm quite sure she will try to pull something. It would just be out of her character if she didn't. (fyi to those who don't have a clue as to what I am talking about....my sister borrowed ~$10,000 from me over 2.5 yrs ago, made 4 payments, in her divorce she stuck her ex with half of it at 1/10th of the agreed upon payments!, made 2 payments in March ($68/$2,000)...but stopped payment on the $2,000 one so I had to get a loan to cover the checks written on it!, and now refuses to make anymore payments..in fact, is threatening to file bankruptsy to try to get out of having to pay it. To top it off, supposedly has all of our family believing that I am the one trying to rip her off! 'Supposedly' because I haven't heard a word from them. If they believe her crap, all I can say is good riddance! I don't need 'family' that is like that anyway. So...say a little prayer for me today...k? Sherri

Okay...here's the scoop... Cindy DID show up...with my useless brother (the only family member that she hasn't borrowed from...and me repay...because he won't keep a job long enough to have $ to borrow!). It was the first time darling Pete saw me since my RNY and he didn't even bother saying a single word to me. In fact, it was the first time I saw him at all since I helped raise $ to help him, his +10 yr younger than he gf, and their 5 (now 6) kids move into their present house. So...heartbroken over him shunning me? Nope. In fact, I already know what kind of a lying louse he is...so he is the 'devil I know'.  Anyway, my name is called. I say 'here' and go up to get the folder (it goes to the plantiff). Cindy's name is called. She says here and then her & Pete head to the hall..where she automatically goes to the bathroom and we have to wait and wait for her to come out. She comes out and goes to walk right past me. So I ask 'Do you have a money order for the entire amount?'. She smirks 'Yeah, right!' and walks rights past me to get in line. Pete joins her. Like they could do anything without me or without the folder??? So...we get up to the clerk and Cindy gives them her name. They just stare at her. So I have to try to get to the desk around the two of them in order to give the folder to the clerk. As I do, I tell the clerk that 'no decision has been agreed on'. Guess that didn't leave Cindy in control enough cause she had to add 'we need to see the judge'. Well DUH!  So...court is now July 18th!! Yeah, I wanted to get this crap done and yeah, I have to miss work yet again. Upside? I'm not the one with 1.5 hour drive EACH way with gas at $3.50 a gallon! She did stand in the line long enough to hear how each person in front of us where the defendant didn't show...judgement was automatically against them and each of them, their wages was garnished. She had some papers in her hand, but I know what was in my emails so bring it on is all I can say. I have legal (from a court of law) proof. How can she top that?? So....The weekend before July 18th Bill & I will be at King's Island...so we will be coming back all relaxed and tanned. Yep..not so bad of a delay afterall. Besides...maybe it will rain THAT day! LOL! Thank you all for you encouragement. I appreciate it so much. I'd pray that Cindy would win the lotto, pay me off and this crap be done....but considering she got ~$19,000 last November from her divorce settlement (AFTER he had to pay $14,000 to pay off her van) and I didn't get a dime of it, the lotto would be blown too.
